Ok, so we are going to try IOA this october, for the first time. Basically the whole point of going is for the Spider man ride, my son is obsessed with spidey! But of course we want to see everything that there is to enjoy for a 5 and 2 year old. So my question is how much time will we need? It will be the later half of October, on a friday or saturday. I was thinking of going to IOA during the day, going back to the hotel for a nap and then doing Mickeys not so scary halloween party at night. Is this doable? Or should a allow a FULL day at IOA (morning til night)? Keeping in mind we will only do the things that a 5 and 2 year old will enjoy.
Thanks in advance!

I would think that plan sounds very do-able, especially if you plan on getting to the park at opening time. Are you staying on-site? If so, just riding the rides your children will be able to ride should only take a couple hours with FOTL.

Your son will love Spiderman!!

This past October we spent the day at Epcot, got back to the room for a nap and dinner and then went over to MK for MNSSHP. Our kids were 2, 4 & 7. The 7 y/o and I lasted the whole party but the 2 & 4 y/o's were very tired and my husband took them back to the hotel at 9:30pm. Despite only being there for a few hours my 4 y/o still talks about it and can't wait to go back!

If you decide to do both parks IOA will probably close no later than 7pm and the Halloween party @ MK doesn't start until 8pm - so you won't be missing much time.

Not sure how many days you will be in Orlando or where you are staying. If you have time I would probably suggest a very queit day before the party - it is just so much fun it would be too bad to have the kids be wiped from a day at IOA. On the other hand if you have never been to IOA it would be nice not to have to rush through so you can get back to the hotel for a nap.

Good points. We are staying 7 nights at disney, and I was comtemplating going down a day earlier to do IOA, or just one of the 7 days to go to IOA and MNNNSHP at night. If we do the later, I would want to leave IOA by 3ish probably. My kids are night owls so that part should be ok. But like you said, I dont want to have to rush through IOA and miss stuff. On the other hand, I am afraid if we do IOA first, he will want to do spidey again another day, which wont be an option, so maybe I should save it for the end of the week????

The good news is a have til October to deceide!
Thanks for the input, would love to hear anyones elses take on it.

IOA is hosting Halloween Horror Nights (NOT something I think your little ones will enjoy), on Fridays, Sats and Suns throughout Oct. It is at night, but the park will close at 5 or 5:30 those days. Also, the crowds may be? larger on those days, but I'm not sure about that. Maybe someone with more experience can advise you. Good luck. ;)

October day crowds are too bad. I remember a 10-20 minute wait for the Hulk at 4 pm on a Saturday.
