We might spend a couple nights at CSR and check out early and drive to Universal's Royal Pacific resort. We want to arrive at RP in time to check and get to the IOA gate for the 8am early opening for on site guests. We have our own car.

What time do you think we'd have to leave CSR to get to RP in time to check in and get to 8am opening.

Thanks!

It's only about a 15 mile drive, but at that time in the morning traffic on I-4 can be extremely heavy, I would allow at least 45 minutes for the drive. How long it might take to park, get checked in and then over to IOA is anyone guess, probably another 45 minutes.
If I absolutely had to be at IOA at 8am I would probably leave CSR by 6am, worst that should happen is you might be a little early.

PP is right, CSR to RPH is about a 25 min drive, 40-45 with traffic. Keep in mind what day of the week you are driving up as traffic may be heavier on departure days (Fri, Sat, Sun) as folks head to the airport.

Are you a member of Lowes "You First" loyalty club? I believe there is a separate check-in line at RPH for members if the regular line is too long.

If time is an issue, I also recommend skipping the boatride from the resort. It only brings you to the center of CityWalk and you still have to walk to IOA. However, there is a path from RPH to the south end of CityWalk that ends at Margaritaville. It is nice 5-10 min walk and much quicker than the boat.
