How much time should I budget for Cape May breakfast?

We currently have a 7:35 am ADR for the Cape May character breakfast at BC. I'm trying to figure out if we stick with our 7:35, would we be able to make it to Epcot or HS by 9am?

I've read lots of stories here at DIS about how people are often waiting for their ADRs, and that the character meals take a long time (we are planning our first trip). Does that hold true for this breakfast, as well? It seems as if it is a bit of an out of the way spot, so I was thinking it wouldn't be as packed as say, Chef Mickey's or one of the princesses. I could be deluding myself, though. And it *is* a buffet, and my kids eat fast, so the length would be depending upon when we get seated, and when the characters come around.

We have always been seated on time at Cape May. We finish anywhere from 60-80 minutes but we are never in a hurry. The characters come around about every 15 minutes and there will only be one character at a time. I would plan on at least 60 minutes if you want to see all 3 characters.

Cape May will be as busy as any of the other character meals, especially at that time of the morning.

You didn't say if you are driving or using WDW transportation to/from there. From BC, it's a 5 minute walk into the World Showcase side of Epcot and then probably another 5 minute walk into Future World. There is a boat that would take you to the International Gateway but it's faster to walk.

DHS is a 20 minute walk from BC or a 20 minute boat ride.

Thanks!

We're staying at BC, and using Disney transportation. I think I'll plan on the 5-10 minute walk to Epcot then for that morning, since I think the 10 extra minutes could matter trying to get to HS for a rope drop.

Good to know the characters come at 15 minute intervals, too. :)

I am confused about your comment that there is only 1 character at a time - we have eaten here lots of times, and there are usually at least 2 characters on the floor at one time. We even have several photos with 2 characters in them! Not sure where you got that info from?

I will also disagree that Cape May is as busy as the other buffets. We have eaten here at many different times (early, mid and late morning), during peak season, and it's always the least busiest character meal. We love that!

I agree about the time - we can get in and out within 60 mins, and that is with autographs and photos of all characters!

Enjoy, Tiger :)
