How much time for Cosmic Rays? Eating at hotel instead?

I know it's probably ill-advised, but we are going to try to squeeze in some time at MK on our arrival day, 12/7. A conservative estimate has us at MK around 5ish. I am wondering how long to allow for a bite at Cosmic Ray's? I have 90 min budgeted but really have no idea. I am wondering if we'd be better served to just grab something at Roaring Forks before we leave the hotel to avoid CR's crowds, giving us more time for other things at MK? Any thoughts are appreciated!

We went once during the Halloween Party last year and it took about an hour from getting our food to leaving the place. It might be a little faster at Roaring Forks but it will really depend on the lines...which you know.

We were in and out in 35 minutes during mnsshp (we were trying to finish before the parade so I was watching the time) so it can be done in way less than 90 minutes

i've never waited more than a few minutes to order/receive my food even when going during prime dinner time.

Thanks everyone! I think I got a little scared since touring plans just updated their crowd calendars to reflect bigger crowds than originally anticipated for our stay.

I would grab a bite before you go. Why waste precious park time on QS, if you can eat before you get there. We were there in mid-August and Cosmic Rays was packed. Ironically we ended up selling up to BOG for lunch. I would eat, go to MK and just grab a snack if you get hungry later on.

Ive not been to Roaring Forks but often the resort QS can be slower than the park ones anyway.

I would get something at your hote. We ate at Cosmic Ray's during a party. It was packed and hard to find a place to sit. The worst part was the food though. It was disgusting. By far the worst meal of our 11 day trip. The QS at our hotel was much better.

I would go to RF and not feel so rushed.

I agree with trying to grab something before you get there. I find that once I walk into the park the first day of a trip, I do not want to take the time to go eat right away. If anything, I might grab a snack on the way through, but it is something I can eat while walking or waiting in line.

We ate at both last week and I preferred Roaring Forks to Cosmic Rays. The latter is always crazy.

Roaring Forks! More relaxing , for sure, don't have to fight crowds.
