As we go like 2-3 times a year thanks dvc
We now do parks so differently like just a few hours a day with those so beautifuls resorts and nice pools we tends on relaxing much more another perk of being a member :-)

We do less and less park time and more and more resort time. In fact for our next trip I'm thinking if we buy tickets it will be 3 FP and done but I'm leaning towards no tickets as we have so much other stuff on our lists I think we will struggle to fit park time in without rushing and I have no desire to rush.

I'm a former cast member. I love Disney. My dh, however? Is really not a fan. He came up with the idea of buying DVC to please me. We tend to use our DVC as a place to land. It's a place to stay while we do other things. We were there in April for our anniversary. We went antiquing in Mt. Dora & had dinner in Winter Park. If I'm down there with someone other than him, I'll do parks. I was there in Feb. with my sister, pre & post cruise. We hit MK one day & EC another. Last year, I met a friend & we did 4 days of parks. We'll be there in April next year; our son is in band & the band is going to Disney. We're staying DVC - the band is staying offsite. We'll definitely hit whatever park the band marches in (hoping for MK, but who knows?). We'll likely hit USO/IA too, simply b/c we haven't seen the new HP stuff. Beyond that? We'll avoid parks, if I'm guessing right.

I'm surprised that no one's voted that they never visit the parks, but just enjoy the resort. I'd be interested in doing that sometime-just one trip, though!

I've done no parks trips about 5 years out of all the years we've owned DVC (13?). But I can't answer never, because there are the years that I do...

We go to the parks in the morning and later again in the afternoon. We always go back to the resort midday. My husband has medical needs that dictate that but I think I enjoy taking a rest midday. Part of the reason we got DVC was to visit the parks and have comfortable accomodations and so I can't imagine going all the way to Orlando and not visiting the parks. Maybe I would feel differently if I lived closer.

Lately, our pattern is we've been going to the water parks or Disney Springs in the morning. We usually have a dinner res and hit the parks in the evening.

We use to be park commando's, but not anymore. We now like to hit the parks at RD and then head back to the resort in the afternoon. Relax by the pool, catch a nap in the room, perhaps even hit the spa. Then after we are refreshed we usually hit a nice signature restaurant with an earlier dinner and then head back to the park into the evening and then call it quits sometime between 10:30-midnight.

If I'm going to hang at a resort, I'm not fond of the WDW ones. I like oceans (I haven't tried Vero, I liked hanging at HHI), Mexico, Hawaii. Thailand's beaches are lovely (only been once) - someday my husband wants to get us to Tahiti or Fiji. Sitting by a pool listening to Marco Polo with ill behaved children in a hot tub is not my idea of a resort experience.

If I want to hang in a resort room, I'd prefer a quaint B&B to a Disney hotel or DVC room.

We go to parks every day, but normally only stay a few hours, might even do two parks during a day, but no more than six hours combined. We enjoy DTD and checking out resorts almost as much as the parks. It's been a long time since we did RD, and after dinner we are normally back at the room.

We still hit the parks pretty hard….figure we spend so much time planning and looking forward to getting there….even tho we know we'll be back it's hard not to open & close the parks…but we do try to take a little break in the afternoons if we can. Also, the cost of getting there and of the park tix (AP's) drives us to get our money's worth out of them. It's kinda like going to Hawaii and only staying for a week and not island hopping…with the time and money spent just to GET there you're crazy not to stay as long as humanly possible and to not explore as many diff. islands as you possibly can!!

Park everyday but no longer RD and sometimes just one park for our 3 FP+ and we're done. But most days we do hit parks (1 or 2 parks per day) for about 5-6 hours. It's cause of DH as he'd still go commando if I allowed it. We do like late EMH now and if we do that then I can't be running all around from 9am that morning to straight through late EMH (DH would or would start off with full intentions to then wilt around dinner time).

We spend much less time in the parks than before DVC. Years ago when traveling with little ones I remember lots of meltdowns due to over stimulation, heat, and exhaustion. I then developed our plan of dividing the day into three parts- morning, afternoon, evening. We would go to the parks for two parts each day, and stay at the resort for the third. This system has worked for years.

Now though, I'm finding that we are staying at the resort for two parts each day. We make fast passes for either late morning (rope drop, 3 fast passes, lunch at park) or around 5 -7 pm (3 fast passes, parade, fireworks). We find we are spending more and more time enjoying the resort each trip. The girls still love the Community room, pool and pool games, nighttime marshmallows. And maybe because we all eat out at restaurants a lot at home, we all enjoy fixing simple meals at the villa rather than eating out.

The older we get, the less park time we do. I've had many trips over the last 20 years and am now ready to relax! We still pop in a park most days, do a ride or two and leave.

At the resort to sleep, I go Disney for the parks not the resort.
I like BLT to walk to MK and take the monorail to EPCOT.

We do the RD at a park each day, typically spend the morning doing our favorite rides/attractions then head back to the resort for lunch, pool time, relaxation, DTD, and other activities. Usually back into a park either for dinner, or after dinner until the night parade/show/fireworks.
