How much time did you spend to do you fp+ at your 60 day opening?

I am wondering what the average time spent on this is. Today my ADR planning with the glitchy mde site took close to 90 min total. So how long did your fp+ booking take?

How many days worth of FPs was that?

Most posters on the 1:00am alert thread usually report 15 minutes or so.

I booked FPs for one day @ MK for the two of us and it took less than a minute using the app. As I scrolled through the attractions on my way to 7DMT, I saw that FoF and MSEP were available so I checked them and 7DMT and then confirmed. I didn't need to check time options so that may have sped up the process.

Took me about 10-15 minutes. I've spent more time since tinkering with things, but that's at my leisure.

Sorry if this is off topic, but can you please explain what that thread is and what purpose it serves? Is it a swap thread?

At 60 days, I probably spent around an hour - maybe a little bit more - doing our FP+ selections. 5 days worth of FP+ (4 days of AFS tickets, 1 finish line party ticket) Modifying the times is what took a while. I forgot when I first started booking that the system wouldn't show you availability if you had another FP+ in that time slot. It took me a little bit to realize it would go faster if I booked the FP+ originally for the opposite time of day (initially booking evening if I wanted morning FP+) and then modified them to the times I wanted. Once I did that, it went faster as I was seeing more of the true availability in the time slots where I really wanted the FP+.

There was more time spent in teh system between then and arrival, trying to find A&E FP+, but the initial night was about an hour.

That thread exists because the FP+ window does not always open at 12am at 60 days. On days that the MK doesn't close until 1am, FP+ booking is not available until 1am. Disney doesn't post this anywhere, it's something that posters here figured out. Mesa created the thread and bumps it whenever MK 1am closing days are approaching, in the hopes that DISers who go into MDE at 12 am and find the window not open will see that thread when they come to the DIS and realize that the booking window will open at 1am.

has anyone tried to book 2 weeks worth when the window comes open - I read somewhere that you can only book 10 days maximum? I didn't know if it was true?

How many ticket days do you have? That's often the limiting factor.

we are staying on property & have 13 days with tickets

Would like to hear your experience once you've done it. There aren't enough reports nor often enough for me to keep the 10+ days cases straight.

I should be booking it around the beginning of March, so I'll let you know how it goes

This is a great tip when modifying times. Take the opposite times you really want from the Disney suggestions and then go back and pick the times you really want.

For my 9 day trip coming in March, heavily using this strategy, it took me 10-15 minutes to book our FPs for 4. Luckily we saw A&E last June, so I didn't have to deal with that this time.

Thanks, mesaboy2. I think I may be missing quite a bit of easy info by turning off signatures.
