We are taking our first trip to WDW in May. In we I mean myself, DH and triplet 7-year old DD.

My question is how much time should we schedule in each park?

I figure you need to spend at LEAST one day in each park but in order for you to get a great experience from the parks:

MK: 2 days, I usually go one morning and stay til the parade and the other day arrive right after the parade in order to catch spectro and wishes.

Epcot also deserves 2 days I usually split it like above except I do Wshowcase when I come to see Illuminations.

MGM can be done in one day but since Fantasmic is a little late I'd park hop on my AK day to see this show.

AK can also be done in one day, since it closes early this is the night I hop over to MGM to see Fantasmic.

luxfirsttrip - Can't really answer your question yet, as our first family trip begins in 3 days. But just wanted to say "Hi" and "Wow" because I'm the Mom of 7 year old twins (boy and girl) -- triplets must be sooooo cool!

P.S. We'll be at WDW for 6 nights and got 4-day park hoppers.

I think alot will depend on your kids. My girls are younger, so for us, they did not have any interest the morning we were at epcot, so we left and went back to MK. MK is the highlight, so I would allow a good portion of your trip there... and then maybe a day at the other parks... then you can do whatever you have found that has made them the happiest.

I have BBG who will be 5.5 when we go at Christmas. We're staying for 7 nights and doing 2 days MK, 2 days MGM, 1 day AK, and 1 day Epcot.

There are several triplet families on this board. Hope you all have a great time at Disney!

With 7 yrs old triple girls I would say 3 days MK, 1 day other parks unless you have another day then I would add one for Epcot.

Remember to relax and if you do not see everything (in which you will not) that is ok. The point is to have fun and experiance the Magic. You will be hooked and will be back soon.

It really depends on how many days you're staying. Last time (first family trip) we went we stayed 8 days and it really wasn't enough, so this next time we're staying 10. A lot of people only have three or four days to spend, though.

Here's what I'll be doing on our ten day trip.

MK: 3 days
Epcot: 2 days
Disney/MGM Studios: 1.5 days
AK: 2 days
TL/BB/DTD: 1.5 day

Even as I type that out, though, I cringe at the little amount of time we'll be spending. I think it's enough for MK, but not enough for us for Epcot, AK, or TL, BB, and DTD.

The first year we went and we only went for 4 days. We started out with one day for each park. Well let me tell you if any one with young kids can do MK in one day, you must run to every ride and never eat. We ended up with doing 1 day epcot, 1 1/2 day MK, 1 day AK, 1/2 day MGM. This past year we went for 5 days and did the same but 1 full day for MGM and 2 full days at MK. My kids are 8, 5 and 3 1/2. We also go in Feb. and the parks close at 9pm at night so we actually spend the whole day in the parks. The kids are always tired at the end but not dragging home tired. Next time we go were going 7 days and 6 nights and we are doing the same schedule as this past Feb. with a extra day in DTD and one water park. I also think it depends on the time of year you go and the way your kids handle walking alot. Some kids don't and you really aren't going to have fun, while their crying and yelling I'm tired all the time. Good Luck.
