How much tax does Disney charge for passes?

Hi,
Like others, we're wondering where to purchase our passes, and would like to know if anyone knows exactly how much tax is charged for the park hoppers.

Thanks,
Mark

6% is correct. No matter where you buy the tickets, you pay the 6% Florida tax. However, if you purchase the tickets in a state (other than Florida) that charges some type of sales tax, you do NOT have to pay that state's tax on WDW park tickets, just the FL tax of 6%.

And pay attention to where you get your price quotes. Some of the websites use figures that include the tax while others use the figures where tax is not included. Make sure you do your comparisons on similar numbers (both include tax or both do not include tax).

Thanks for the info.:)

Have to admit, we're a bit disappointed with Disney after cutting the DC discount for passes. And looking at the official WDW site, how they put a spin on the "whopping" savings we'll receive when we pre-book the passes, and how Disney (strategically) doesn't add sales tax to the prices of the tickets we're looking for(4day park hoppers).

We're thinking of going with an 'outside agency', like Paramount International Travel to purchase our tickets, but are going to wait until our trip gets closer.

Thanks again!

you can still get the disney club discount on hopper plus passes, annual passes, and LOS. BUT in order to get the discount you must purchase the tickets in advance. with the exception of the AP's...you can still get the discount at the gate.
