How much storage space in cabins?

We have a SPR booked on the Wonder next year. Now I know this room doesn't have a steamer trunk but how much space is there in the cabins for storage?

The reason for the question is that our national carrier has just announced 30%off flights to the US from NZ but I'd only be able to book the flight so we had our two week holiday on land in So Cal before the Wonder trip, not after. It's a huge saving - one adult fare for us. However, we'd planned to shop up a bit as your clothes and shoes are far better than what we can get here. I'm not planning on having zillions of bags - just three big soft bags full plus one carry on for each of the four of us. Alternatively, is there a left luggage facility anywhere near port or Disneyland or LAX these days?

No left luggage facility, and rather limited drawer space in the cabins. However, it sounds like you are shopping for things that you may not need on the cruise. If that is the case, you can store suitcases (full or empty) under the beds. On the Magic and Wonder, you need to lift the bed frame to slide the luggage underneath. On the Dream, the beds are higher and allow the luggage to fit more easily.

Thank you so much! I think we'll be able to manage with under the bed with soft bags, scooting them underneath by the sounds of it. I suppose doing the cruise last before we hop on the 12 hour plus flight home with the kids will be more relaxing than doing it on the holiday first too.

Is it safe to book a flight the same day of disembarkation - the flight would be 9.30 at night (international, so check in time would be three hours beforehand at 6.30 that evening). I'm assuming disembarkation would be v.early in the AM on kick-out day here.

DCL asks that everyone be off the ship by 9 am....so unless your ship gets stuck out at sea for some reason, you'll have NO problem being at the airport by 6:30 pm.
