I am going back and forth on this one, and would appreciate any insight from you Disney lovers. We have the hotel, food, and park tickets already paid for. We are using the Disney transportation. So I was thinking the only thing we would need $$$ for is souveniers. There are 2 adults, a 2yr old, and a 8 yr old. ANY IDEA would be great! THANKS ::MickeyMo

airport parking at your home airport, skycap tips, mousekeeping tips, food at the airport

Parking here is free, (smallish town) what are skycap tips? How much do you tip the mousekeepers per day?

We usually tip Mousekeeping $4/day for the 4 of us.

For souvenirs, I usually let my DD1 and DS3.5 pick out one toy in the $25-$30 range. Also, we like to pick up one t-shirt/sweatshirt for each family member. If my kids were older, I would give them a dollar limit and let them spend it however they wanted -- maybe $40 or $50 each.

We also plan on plenty of money for icecreams and other snacks.

Since this is our first trip, we are planning for $800 for souvies and any extras. Our family is the same size - 2 adults & 2 kids (5 &3.) We have the dining plan for most of our trip and this amount doesn't include food on non-dining plan days. I know that we won't probably end up spending all of that but if we come home with $$$ towards next years trip even better!

I am planning on taking about $600.00 give or take for a 4 day trip. That goes to:

100.00-hotel
150.00-park ticket
200-food
that leaves me with 150.00 for spending, tips, and anything else that might come up.

I've been trying to figure out this one myself. It will be me & ds8. I have the package w/ dining and using ME. I'm bringing $400 for a 8 day trip. I wanted to bring more but I spent at lot of $$ on clothes and things we needed for the summer so $400 it is. Tips are already set aside and not included in the $400. I'm sure we'll be fine. :wizard:

I would suggust you set an amount for everyone in the family. The 2 year old won't need as much money as the 8 yr old. We do this on our trips - all of them but it is most important when we visit the mouse. Disney can make me want to take the cute paper cup my drink comes in and the paper napkins home  !!! Everyone in our family has their OWN money. My daughters' is in disney $ and the adults in traverlerchecks. I TRY :sad2: not to use my credit cards because it is just to easy to over spend. The budget for my girls also includes extra snacks. If eveyone is getting the snack, mom pays - if it is only the kids getting a snack - they pay. My girls usually get about $20 dollar a day plus a little extra depending on the length of the vacation and I do make them look around before they buy anything. For our 16 day WDW trip, one daughter (12 yr old.) had about $350.00 from birthdays, the change jar and mom. I think she came back with $100.00.

I do set aside $ for one or two clothes items for everyone and if I see something I want to get them. My daughter has gotten into the pins so ofcourse we have stop at ALL of the pin carts ($$$$$$$).
