How much spending money do you take with you. We don't buy a lot of sovienors. just manly food money and we each get a shirt or something, that is what we do at WDW this is our first trip to DL.

We have three adults and one child in our traveling group and we plan about $200 per person. We go to the parks 3 1/2 days each trip.

We plan about $100 - $120 day for our family of 4 (2 adults / 2 kids 3 and 7)-for food and sourvieners. Our hotel includes breakfast. Our last trip we did a couple of splurges and bought jackets for me and 3 year old, and a spendy sweatshirt for dh. As well as some other smaller things. Because we were just there 5 months ago, we wont need to buy as much this trip.

In my case ,ALL MY SPARE CHANGE plus some. :scared:

I'm embarassed to say that we've planned quite a bit this trip. We don't get to vacation often (this is our first vacation since 2001) so we try to give the kids some splurge money. They each have a $25/day budget as well as their own piggy bank money. We also plan about $90/day in food for our family of 5.

Hi, our last trip was WDW which will be 17 months between trips. My kids are saving their birthday money and allowance and will be given money by us and their grandparents. I am sure that they will have well over 300 dollars each for whatever they want to buy...as we dont take big trips very often, i am hoping for lots of spending money for myself :) (it will also be my birthday while we are there, so i will also have extra money for that..
...i am figuring on about 120/day for our family for food(2 adults, 3 kids-15, 13 and 11) and we get free continental breakfast at the candy cane inn....i also figure i am over estimating and will come home with some money....85 days and counting.....

On our last trip, we budgeted $190 a day for food and souveneirs. We hit 4 san diego theme attaractions and disneyland for 12 days and 11 nights. We were traveling with my family. There were times when my parents treated all of us for for lunch or dinner. There were times when my sisters and their husbands treated as well. We ate some fast foods, lots of sit down restaurants and even ordered pizza from dominos. We even paid for dinner at Goofy's Kitchen for everyone. At each of the theme attractions, the kids had a $50 budget per theme park/per kid(of which they barely mad a dent in their budget) By the end of the trip, we still had money left over. The kids got tons of souveneirs, we even managed to splurge a bit for our nieces and nephews. I believe in overestimating a budget rather than underestimating. The left over food and souveneir budget got rolled over to our upcoming trip. Since it's just me, dh, and kids, our food/souveneir budget per day is $150. I don't really expect to spend that much a day, but it's nice knowing that you can if you want to.

Pixleyyy: Your food budget works out to $6 per meal per person. Does your hotel offer free breakfast? If not I'd add a little to your food allowance. It seems very tight to me. But then I always need at least one mojito or margarita when I go to DTD and that's at least $6 lol

My boyfriend and I budget 60 dollars a day for food between the two of us. We both aren't real big breakfast eaters so we normally have something small like a granola bar in the hotel room before we head out. 20 dollars for lunch, 30 for dinner and 10 for snacks throughout the day. We both aren't big souvineir people so we don't spend our money on that, we maybe use 30 bucks for souvineirs and that is fine for us.

we carried in water. We spent around $45 a day on food for the three of us-that includes one character meal. As far as souvenirs, we knew going in what we wanted: 1 t-shirt each, a pair of golden ears each, one picture frame, and one Christmas ornament. I had a gift card given to me by friends that I used to buy a lanyard and mousepad. My older son had $50...change we'd been collecting since our '99 trip to WDW. He bought popcorn for himself and his brother, a bow and arrow, and the CD set. I ended up having to give him about $5 to cover the tab on his purchases.

Yup, we've got breakfast taken care of. We figured $10/adult, $5/child for lunch (though most of the time our youngest 2 will share a meal) and $15/adult, $10/child for dinner. We plan on doing mostly quick-serve places but have budgeted extra for the 2 big dinners we have planned. I think we should have enough budgeted, as we're carrying in water and snacks.
