How much spending money should I bring?

So, we leave for Disney in 9 days! I can't believe how fast it's approaching, but I'm super excited.

We'll be there for 6 nights, 7 days and have the regular Dining Plan. How much spending money/extra food money/entertainment money do you think I should have with me?

I would only be spending money on myself & 2 year old son.

Well, you need money for tipping.

If you are not on the DDP, bring at least $50 a day for food, that is if you share with your child.

Extra spending money if you are on the DDP, about $300 or so for gifts, candy, goodies.

When your child is older, I give my kids a $50 Disney Gift Card, they can spend it on anything. They are really cautious on what they spend. It is a good way for them to learn the value of money!

DH and I were there in June. We were also on the DP. We spent $500.00 in seven days on souvies, tips, OOP restaurants, and fun stuff.
