Hi

I am off to FL in August with Claire (Fizz13), but I cant decide how much spending money to take. I was thinking of $100 a day. That will include bfast, lunch and dinner. Some merchandise. I doubt I will eat three times a day, but I am not sure what others in the party are doing? Do you think I need to take more with me? :confused3

For the two of us we have managed on $120 a day with big purchases going on the CC so $100 a day sounds good, what you don't spend you can keep for November :teeth:

Claire ;)

Totally depends where you eat,
We got back at the weekend, Don't eat breakfast so 2 meals a day, 1 in park counter service and 1 offsite like Golden Corral, Sweet Tomatoes, Black Angus etc. For 3 of us we spent no more than $75/day.
1 counter service meal with soda around $9
1 meal and Soda offsite around $15

For a family of 3 It works out around $100/day for us sometimes more sometimes less but don't eat Onsite in evenings. includes meals, supermarket and bits of shopping we do.

sounds enough to me, do you know where you plan to eat yet?

actually Michelle, darling, I've seen Claire drink and I reckon you won't get much change out of $1000 a day :rotfl2: only kidding, I reckon $100 - $150 a day will be more than enough, and as someone else said you can always keep it back for when you go with Bruce

Thats what I figured LOL. I didnt want to be cut short. It looks like 1-2 resturants a day? Not entirely sure if its all the same. I looked on all ears.net at the places Claire said and then tried to work out what I have so I can get a rough idea. As you said I can bring the rest of the money with Bruce in Nov. :thumbsup2 I am just paranoid I wont bring enough.

Cant you bank the money, earn interest and use a Nationwide credit card? you will get better exchange rate than cash and no worries if you have enough.

I've got a plan for you. Take $200 per day and drink nothing but cocktails all holiday - surely a good idea (and I am sure Claire will be up for it!);) :thumbsup2

Sounds like a fab idea! Another reason to take more with me the exchange rate more dollars more alchohol :thumbsup2

I think $100 a day will be plenty, we usually spend about $120 for both of us, hopefully you will come back with loads for your next trip or you could buy something really fab when you go shopping! :goodvibes
