I go to WDW every year, some times twice. I have been collecting Disney stuff for years and have a room full of collectables, plus the regular Disney stuff.

I can really spend some money while at Disney, I love those Precious Moments, and oh yes Dooney & Bourke. I have so many cups, pins, pens & books, all the cd's they sell, clothes, you name it and I have it from Disney.

So this trip I am only going to pick myself up a mug and a few small items. So for those of you who have done this, how much do you plan for spending, My entire trip is bad for except, tips. :cool1:

Im taking 400 bucks for the whole family. I really need to limit my spending:thumbsup2

We are going for 10 days and taking over a 1000.00. But I do have to buy my Step son's fl resident ticket so that is 150.00 plus his and his GF food for 3 days. We are at pop with free dining so we also need tip money and we rented a fridge. So we probably won't come home with much. Both of my girls each have 165.00 of there own spending money so they should be good. But I will pay for hairwraps and facepainting for them. I will buy them each a sweatshirt and myself one. I also want a D&B bag. Dh I just buy him a t-shirt and mug and he is good with that.

This year we'll be taking about 1000. However, that includes 250 in spending money for the kids, a CS meal on arrival day and dinner at the airport on the way home, tips for the DDP and we will likely be upgrading to the Waterparks and More option when we arrive.... oh and mousekeeping tips.
That leaves apprx. 250 for a souvie for hubby and I and incidentals.
We have access to more if there is an Emergency.. but we will not be spending more than that 1000.00 unless absolutely necessary.

Call me cheap, but I just don't see a big need for souvenirs. For my family, its more about the experience of being there.

I'm planning to bring money for our TS tips, a bit for Mousekeeping, and then spending money for the kids ($50 each, possibly less). For our 10 day trip, I'm planning $500 for spending money and hoping to NOT spend it all. I really believe this is do-able, as we spent about $350 when we went for 8 days a few years ago.

We took $1500 last year but it was the first trip for our DDs. We came home with $700 so we spent $800 on souviners BUT I let my girls go all out. This year, we are once again taking $1500.00 but my girls do not need Mickey ears and all the extras they got last year. I am going to give them each $200 to use on whatever they please and then I told them the less I spend of the other money, they can have the rest when we get home for extra school clothes. They were happy with that as they are 14 and 15 and they are really into fashion and SHOES (like their mom, LOL) !!! We are on the dining plan so really the only extras should be Mouskeeping and meal tips, etc.

Well we are probably going to have close to $1100, but that is gas, TS tips, tolls, one meal on the way down and one on the way home and about $800 for souveniers. We are on the regular DDP, but we may have to buy 1 or 2 meals oop. But, I also have a $100 Disney gift card, I am expecting a rebate from AT&T for $75, my company give us a $50 gift card in Dec, all of which I hope to use towards my D&B purse.

I don't buy much in the way of junk, but DH would if I would let him. He wants to do the Ridemakerz again and if I am able to get my purse, then I might let him get what he really wants there. I do try to bring something back to my cousin's kids.

We never spend a penny in the parks. We pack snacks and drink water. No souvenirs. Even when we took the kids they never needed anything more than an autograph book to keep them happy.

We don't really buy souvenirs either. Last trip we bought a visor for Julie because she didn't own a hat, a sweatshirt for me because mine got torn in an unfortunate incident w/ the airport escalator, and a refillable mug @ our resort. That was it.

Next trip we'll have DD who will be just 2, so hopefully not too much into the "gimmies" yet. I plan to buy glow sticks & some other little Disney things at home to bring with us so she can still get things & we can save $. Especially at just 2, she won't know or care that they didn't come from WDW.
