Our trip to The World is fast approaching (10 days! woo!:goodvibes) We are going for 8 days/7 nights with the DDP, staying at the FW cabins. Already ordered a few things via Garden Grocer, but not a lot, as we do have the dining plan--- This is our first time with the dining plan, so not sure how much spending $ to bring for OOP expenses. There are 5 of us (me, DH,DD17,DS10,DD4) WWYD? How much is enough? :confused3 Most souvenirs will be bought at DTD toward the end of the trip. Thanks for your input!

Last year i went without my dh and just my tow girls and mom and we were on the dining plan I brought down1700 to spend and that was enough for us it just depends on what you want to buy.

We usually bring very little money when we have a package that includes tickets, room, and dining plan because we don't buy gifts or souvenirs. We really only bring enough money to cover tips and any extra activities (such as boat rental or massages).

We stayed 10 days at the GF in May and spent less than $600 for the 10 days.

Don't forget to add in money for tips at the Table Service restaurants!
For you tipping money I advice that you have cash on hand.

Some people make the limit per day, others set for the whole trip.
For gifts and other nick-nacks you could get Gift Cards.
Give each kid their own.

Thank you all for your responses! We do not plan to spend much on souvenirs, but you know what they say about the best laid plans!
Hoping $150 per day ($1200 for 8 days) will work for the 5 of us. But will be bringing along plastic just in case ;)
I know I definitely plan to steer the kids in the direction of Mickeys Mart:thumbsup2 plus ears for the kidlets, shirts for all, and a magnet and Christmas ornament for me:santa::cloud9:
So excited- its been way too long between trips (6 years!)
Coming up fast now though! :goodvibes 10 days!!!

Generally we bring an extra 100 dollars a day. We don't usually buy a lot of souvineers but we do like special items and things not covered by the plans.

And I'd rather have an extra padding in my budget. for example once in a while the hubby will have a beer or one of the kids may want a drink in those special glasses. i hate saying no simply because I didn't bring enough cash for it.

You can always take home any thing you didn't spend. LOL.

Generally we bring an extra 100 dollars a day.

This is our plan. We will be there 8 days/7 nights so will be bringing down $800 cash, plus the kids have some cash in their wallets they want to bring along to buy the things that I say "no" to!

How 'bout during Food and Wine?? Do you usually spend a lot extra going around doing tastings?

With 6 of us going, we plan on an extra $200/day. If we find something we really want to bring back home or we find a treat or yummy looking desserts or restaurant we really want to eat at, we don't want to say no and then regret it later. After all, we don't travel more than once or twice a year so we want to be able to enjoy and get what we want.

uhhhh a lot haha. i love to stock up on things at mitsukoshi, a few epcot souvenirs, and the shops at downtown disney (basin, goofy's candy co., etc.) :goodvibes
