How much sleep do you get while at WDW?I think I average about six hours a night.I would like to sleep more(after all,it IS a vacation LOL :) ),but there is just so much to see and do.I get a kick out of seeing people dozing on the buses, etc.I saw some guests laying down in the cabin of the riverboat mid-day on one trip.So funny.I was going to Evening EMH at MK after watching IllumiNations at Epcot and Fantasmic! at Disney-MGM Studios late one night(trying to see everything LOL)and was the only guest in a monorail car from the TTC to MK.I was so tired that I laid down on the seat like it was a bed and almost went to sleep before we got to MK.LOL :earsboy:

We don't get nearly enough, either. But we do try to sleep in at least 2 days, but when sleeping in at WDW we still don't sleep as late was we would at home on a sleep in day. We are almost always out and about by 10 am at the latest, most days 8 am or earlier. For night owls like us, this is the crack of dawn.

We go in the value season so the parks aren't open as long as other times. We head to all the parks first thing and most close at 7:00 or 8:00pm. So by the time we get back to the resort it is about 9:00 - 9:30 and we are all out by 10:00pm. So going with that we get about 9 hrs of sleep. Not bad at all while on vacation. :rotfl:

When we go for a couple weeks with the kids, we get more sleep. When dh and I go alone anywhere we don't get much sleep - :love2: We have so much fun having the time alone that we just push ourselves for the 5-7 days and then crash for a day when we get home! :rolleyes1 It is kind of funny, but no matter where we go we don't just sit around. Just not our style. :rolleyes1 we do have 6 kids, afterall! LOL!

I have even seen people sleeping in the hotel lobby.

A group of us were at Wilderness Lodge one time, and were tempted to sit in between a dozing couple and take pictures.

Alas, there just wasn't enough room between 'em to squeeze in.

I typically need 6-8 hours a night (when I'm at home). When we were in Disney last week, we were averaging about 6.5 hours a night. Apparently that wasn't enough because almost every day, I'd PASS OUT on a bus or boat as we were traveling somewhere. I kept asking my fiance if I was snoring, but luckily no snoring was heard :-).

At least I'm not alone. I'm usually in bed by 10:00 pm (yeah, real exciting life) watching the WDW channel-gotta find out everything going on! But when that phone rings at 7:00am, my feet hit the ground ready to go!

As much as I planned to relax, sleep late and take naps, I found I couldn't. It just seemed like such a waste! As we didn't go to PI at all this trip, we did get to bed fairly early and I was usually asleep by midnight. I'm glad I made the most of my awake time. I was just so happy to be there I didn't want to waste a moment! :goodvibes

we usually get about 8 hrs, sometimes more towards the end of the trip...i can't handle the parks without sleep so we go to bed pretty early( not the PI types anyway) so after the parks close and we eat dinner , we usually go back to the resort by 10 if we are getting an early start the next day.

I sleep about as much on vacation at WDW as I do at home. I get 6-8 hours a night usually more toward the 6 hour mark. I function at 6 hour, but at 8-10, I am in really good shape. As the week goes on, there is usually a little more allowance for sleep time in the itinerary. Maggie

Sleep? :rotfl: I can sleep at home! :rotfl:

DH threatens to get T-shirts made with this famous quote. Our wakeup calls come at 0630. We do go back to the room and take naps. ;)

I have a hard time sleeping, I dream about not getting up in time and missing the parks! It's funny because my hubby doesn't like to sleep in at home, but likes to on vacation although we don't at the "mouse." We now have a 2 year old and since we work on her schedule we are getting sleep again : )

Six hours give or take. On the last trip though I was with a friend who snored something fierce so it was a lot less. On that trip by about day 4 I found it hard to keep my eyes open in some dark theatres. lol

I'd say about 6 average. At home, I'm an 8 hour gal. We take afternoon breaks, which may or may not include naps.

DH & DS(17) can sleep anywhere, so they grab power naps on the busses or boats. Not me. Altho, last trip, we were on TTA & it broke down while we were in the dark just leaving Space Mountain. It was dark & cool & we were tired, so we curled up & went to sleep while we waited to start moving again.

I did see a couple fall asleep in their Ice Cream at Beaches & Cream one night. It was pretty funny watching them nod off over their sundeas, I was waiting for touchdown, but they would always snap back just before hitting the cream....

5 on the low side, 8 on the high, so far. May change next time as Ariel will be 2, and need more zzzzzzzzz. I thnk me, dh, and dd 16.5 (will be then)will take turns taking her back to the room, getting her bathed and into bed. It will give Ariel a lot of extra down time, and a little extra for the rest of us. (knowing me, Ill gladly volunteer for early bed time at least once) :goodvibes

5...if I'm lucky. The time difference doesn't help us. We live in the Central zone, so going to bed early is impossible. As soon as we start to adjust to the time difference, it's time to go home!
