For me, anything more than 6 hours is sufficient.

(However, last night I had only 4.5 hours of sleep, a big coffee this morning, and I am feeling fine... for now... :rolleyes1)

Seven is good for me. I do any less day after day, I start feeling it. As long as I get seven hours I can take one of those 4 hour nights here and there. But I actually feel GREAT if I can get at least 8 hours.

I NEED 7-8 hours, but I can function on 5 here and there. 5 is the magic number- anything less and I feel like crap.

6-7 hours is good for me. Anything less and I'm a zombie for the rest of the day.

I can function on at least 6, I usually get around 8, but my golden number is 9. I woke up after 9 hours of sleep a few days ago and I was full of energy from the time I opened my eyes. Anything more or less and I start to get pretty tired in the afternoon. I don't drink coffee so I try and drink a few cups of green tea a day, that usually helps.

I have to get 8 hours of sleep or it makes for a terrible day for me. Luckily, I don't have any trouble getting that much sleep any more. :thumbsup2

I function best on 9-10 hours, but I am severly anemic, so I am constantly fatigued anyway. Anything less than 7 and I am a walking zombie- and I am also allergic to caffeine, so no quick fix for me. My DH can function very well on 4 hours.

I chose the 4-6 option because that's usually the amount I get in total on any given night. My problem is that it's usually not good sleep because it's not straight through.

I used to need 7 hours minimum to function...or so I thought.
Then I became a mom to a special needs child who doesn't sleep. We generally don't get more than 2-3 hours at a time. Sleep deprivation is definitely something I've learned to live with. I can't say that I always function at my best, but I can function.

I usually sleep about 5 hours during the work week, which is not enough for me.

I can live with 4-5 a couple nights a week, but after that the days really drag out & I start to struggle. Typical is 6-8 & im good to go

My threshold is about 5.5 - 6 hours. More is always better, but I like to stay up late. I feel like I'm missing something. :lmao:

I would Love to average 8 hours a night, I can run for about 2 months on an average of 4-6 hours before I have to spend a day sleeping and I can run for a week or two on 4 hours or less :surfweb: .

I could really use 8, but I generally get 6.5. I function, but that's about it.
On occasion, I'll have a night where I can't sleep, get four or less hours, and feel fantastic the next day??? No idea why, but one short night here and there (couldn't do it two days in a row) is energizing for me. :confused3

I prefer to get 8 hours, but sometimes it's only 6 or 7. I'm usually okay with that amount too.

7 is best. Can do okay on 6. Can function on 5 but it's not pleasant for anyone :)

7-8. And I include about a half-hour of reading in that time to get me geared towards sleeping.

I need 7-8. If I have less than that, I might make it the first half of the day but by the second I'm dying!
