We are middle class family and we are going to Disney in about a year. We are starting to plan far in advance partly so we can save enough to really enjoy ourselves without having to worry about $ and being on too tight of a budget. It will be me and my wife and 4 year old son. We plan to go to magic kingdom once, Seaworld once, animal kingdom once and hollywood studios once and go downtown a couple nights. We don't need to buy everything we see but we would like to shop a little bit. My question is how much should we plan to spend each day including park tickets? Should we go with the disney dining plan and/or the magic your way passes? I know this is a tough question to give any one answer to but is there some sort of formula to come up with a good answer? Just trying to come up with a savings plan so in 1 years time we will be set.

you are better off going to Disney's offical website and plannig out a fake trip to get an idea of what it will cost - we are going in 3wks family of 4 we got basic magic your way tickets (I dont think we'd want to park hop anyways and my girls dont do water parks) we got the buy 4 nights get 3 free at POP and we included the dining plan trip including airfare we are at about $3000 without souvenirs and extras....we will be utilizing the buses at Disney so transporation around the parks is not a problem.
