Me and my wife want to go to HHN on Sept 27th. We want to check in to HRH and go to the parks during the day, then stay for stay and scream. Also, we want to get express pass for the houses. How much is this gonna cost us? We called HRH and they priced it at almost 600$ for two people. Any tips to say money? We want to get the express to be assured to see all the houses in one night.
thanks Leebo

Express prices have not been released yet but I would guess something in the $40.00 range? The event tickets will cost $36.99 per person with the Stay & Scream discount...provided you already have your theme park tickets. You could stay offsite and save money since you probably won't need Express during the day.

We are debating not getting the park tickets and just doing the early entry from the hotel and HHN with express passes. We could chill out at the hotel pool or do something else in Orlando.

Unless you have an AP or are a FL resident, the event tickets will run you $88.99 each plus Express. The hotel entrance will help some but instead of three to four houses w/o a wait with Stay & Scream, you're looking at maybe two to three houses. Not much of a difference but it can help towards the middle of the evening when the crowds have arrived.

Aren't the stay and scream released at the same time as the hotel quests? I thought the hotel quests went in a special gate to wait with the stay and scream quests. I read that the hotel gate opened at 6pm to go to the stay and scream area which all then where released at around 6.30pm.

One tip to save money - stay at RPR - it's almost always less expensive than HRH.

Also only stay onsite one night - gives you two days of express, although it sounds like you may already be doing that?

2 days at the parks are $139.99 (279.98)
HHN stay and scream is $36.99 (73.98)

$353.96 total for two. Add $80 for express passes? So you are at $434.96 - not so far from $600, but not there either..

We did Express one year and I think we skipped it the rest. We have Annual Passes, so we'd go the first night or two and get early admission and usually would do the first two houses with it being daylight. We'd then make our way around and have been able to get them all in without express.

hotel guest can use the separate entrance to the park from 6 to 8 pm on hhn nights.
you have to show your photo ID/hotel card and your hhn ticket to use it.

they are directed to the stay and scream area as they are not allowed to just wander around until the opening period.

there are some dates that the stay & scream section has not been released at 6 (or prior).
if the park has already opened to the ones in the holding area, then the hotel guests arriving at that time, are allowed to go anywhere in the park.

The S & S area is released no later than 6pm on most nights so by the time you're being released into the park, I've already done the first house or just about ready to enter. Even though you would get in the park at 6pm, you still have to walk to the back near Twister for the first house. S & S folks get to walk directly to the early house that is open for S & S people. Last year, we saw a huge wall of people coming towards Monsters Cafe as we were leaving the first house. It was a scary sight indeed.

Metro, i have encountered later releases on saturday nights from the sns area.

those nights really can get the crowds.

but it is still better to start from there instead of standing in the outside line by the gate.

Agree with Metro, a scary sight indeed!

We did arrive first to the first house, but the hotel guests were trailing not far behind.

Cheers!
