I'm talking about just souvenirs and things you buy. I have money put aside for all our food, passes, recreation, snacks, etc. I'm wondering just how much "shopping" money you guys take with you. By the way, it's just me and DH and we are staying 10 nights. I know, of course, that it probably varies greatly, and that some of you probably spends lots and some hardly any. I'm just curious to sort of find out what the average is.

we just got back and we spent varying amounts per day. I would say that my Dh bought a fleece that cost 52 I bought a snow globe for 40, pins (yikes about 80), post cards about 6. Now if you added our kids, it was a lot more. Oh yeah 2 ornaments 12 and 14 each. I also felt like I had not bought a lot and really wanted to do more shopping, but I didn't

100 per person for souvenirs.

Last year we stayed 9 days and spent about $100; autograph book, photo book, coffee mug, CD and a few things for our daughter. . . . but you never know when you'll see that thing you can't live without.

For us, the amount seems to depend on what we bring back as gifts for our families. This past trip we bought everyone really nice shirts and spent $400.00 at WOD in one night. (That included my DC discount). Then for souveniers for DH, DD & I we probably spent $250.00.

Last year we just brought back everyone candy or cookie tins so our sourvenier money was alot less probably around $300.00 for everything.

We've gone 21 times, so we don't really feel the need to pick up a lot of the inviting merchandise....except for PINS! I love pins (and pin trading)--and they really add up fast. (especially since pins range in price from 8.50 on up)
The other thing that we like to buy is food, especially chocolate. Mickey truffles are good. Mickey Pretzels, Mickey Pasta--et'c.
If you can avoid collecting pins--you can save a lot of money!

My kids usually don't go-they stay with my ex (their dad, don't ask), so we bring them back a ton of stuff. We also do a lot of shopping at the DS in the outlets, so we bring back a lot 'cause we feel like we're saving a lot. I figure we spend anywhere from 500-1000 for a week and 1/2. One year I got a DW leather jacket marked down to 150, we got beautiful sweatshirts down to 25. Bought 250 worth of 100 years of magic snowglobes, you name it, we bought it. It helps during the time we can't be in WDW, and when we do go, the WDW shirts go back with us!

I'm budgeting $400, but I doubt we will spend that much. We already have $50 in Disney Dollars that we've saved with turning in coins over the last couple of months. I anticipate having another $50 by the time we go. I am going to convert any Christmas $ the kids get into Disney Dollars- any Disney Dollars we have don't count into my budget- it will be purely splurge money for our two boys (5 and 20 months). Plus my parents and my DH's mom are going along, and you know how gramma's can't resist getting their grandkids a treat or two, so that will be less money we end up spending. I just want to have a good time, buy what we like while still being within reason. Luckily I haven't been caught up in the pin trading, but I can see why people do it. They are really darling. When we went to DL last October (a year ago) I think we may have spent about $100 in souveniers, but again, one of the gramma's was there and she spent at least $70 on our kids. Long story short, bring a gramma, spend less! ;)

Could someone tell me if they accept Disney Dollars at the outlet mall?
I know there is a Disney store there. You all have been kind enough to tell us about it! Can't wait to get there.

We just got the kids some Disney money as part of their Christmas gifts. They do not know about it.
We thought we would stop at the outlet mall first, before going in to the biggest shopping place called WDW!!!!

Thanks for your help!

Leaving in 12 days!

We usually spend $200-$300 in a 5-day period. If we buy pins we spend more because my daughters and I love them! My husband usually just rolls his eyes when we buy them. Also I usually start saving money for my daugters before we go so they both take about $100 each. Thats all! We go to Disney in 4 days for the 9the time!:)

We usually spend about $500 at least. We visit the outlet malls several times!

We have so much WDW stuff it is outrageous!

Because we've been quite a bit, we usually only get maybe a shirt for the trip ... not always a WDW. So I would say between the 4 of us we spend $100 on "stuff" for a 9 day visit. (Of course we take lots of pictures ... those are the best souveniers of all!!!)
