How much luggage can you take with you on board? There will be 2 adults and 2 kids in 1 stateroom. We'll have probably 2 suitcases, pack n play, mattress, case of water and would like to have another box filled with diapers, wipes, snacks and toys. Can we bring all of this? Are there people there that will help with the luggage? We're driving, so we'll have our own car.....can you just pull up and someone will help drop everything off for you and then we'd just park the car?

Yes you can just drop it all of with a porter at the terminal and it will show up in your cabin later. Just be sure to tip him.
That said, you don't need to bring a pack n play as they will provide that for you in your stateroom. You might want to bring your own sheet though if you want. They will also provide you with a diaper genie. There is a new service where you can order diapers, wipes, etc. for the baby before you leave and they will have it for you in your stateroom. Can't remember the name of that service at the moment.

Is it a Disney porter at the gate or just a terminal employee? What is the proper tip?

We want to bring our own pack n play since we'll have it anyway and what he'll be sleeping in for about a month while on vacation....plus we bought another mattress for it so it's more comfortable than a reg pnp.

And since we're driving and will be having our own vehicle, we'll be bringing our own baby supplies. I looked into that service and for a weeks worth of diapers and wipes it was like $75! If we were flying and space was limited, than we'd look into it but we'll have lots of room in our minivan for stuff like that.

Anyone who handles are bags usually gets tipped $1-2 per bag....depending on how much we have and how good they are we tip more.

You can take as much luggage as you want on board. Just remember though it all has to be stored in your cabin, which may not be much bigger than your minivan!

We'll have probably 2 suitcases

Two suitcases for 4 people? Even if two are little people, WOW - I've seen people's suggested pack list and can't imagine using only 2 suitcases. I'm impressed!

I remember the days of pack'n'play... my DD's are now 10 & 7. The pack'n'play will take up your entire space between the couch and the tv. It will block your access to the drawers, refrigerator, etc. I would definitely bring the diapers, wipes, and toys. I am not sure whether you can take the snacks on board. I would recommend calling DCL ahead of time so that you won't get disappointed. From my understanding, you can only bring snacks on board for those individuals with special medical needs which includes allergies. But, again, check with the DCL to double check. And yes, the size of the "mini-van" is a good description of the room.

Good luck and hope everything works out.

When we used DCL's pnp, the room ninja would close it up in the morning and open it at night. What if you just brought the mattress on board and used their pnp?

I would definitely bring lots of snacks. It's hard to find the exact snack you want (dh wanted chips, I wanted chocolate, ds wanted twizzlers) and if you find it, it's 4 times the price on land.

We're driving from Maine. Staying 1 week in Panama City, FL and 1 week off-site Disney.....both timeshare swaps to save money. Also driving is saving money so we don't need to buy 4 plane tickets and then a car rental. (Luckily MIL is paying for the trip.) So, we're only bringing 2 suitcases, double stroller, cooler, pack n play and mattress, etc. The less stuff the better. Maybe when we start packing, we'll need more room for stuff, but we travel quite often. Usually 1-2 nights a month in a hotel plus 3 1 wk vacations a year. I've been to Disney 16 times, dh has lost count over 30, ds almost 3 has been 3 times already and ds 8 months hasn't been yet. ODS has spent roughly 150 nights in a hotel. We've learned to pack really well. We can always wash clothes or buy stuff we've forgotten.

Just want to make sure that the stuff we are planning on taking with us won't be an issue.

We first were booked in an inside stateroom but then changed to an oceanview since we wouldn't be able to get around the pnp at night to use the bathroom.

Does DCL have a weight limit or limit on how big your luggage can be? I understand you want it to fit in your room, but do they have a policy on this?

Babiestravellite.com is awesome! I used it when my DD was still in training pants. I ordered those and swim diapers, and flushable wipes. The room steward gives you a diaper genie like the pp said and we got a bed railing upon request. The only thing I brought with me was a umbrella stroller. It makes getting through the port and airport much easier. You get free strollers on Castaway to use or you can rent one on the ship. :thumbsup2 Luggage wise we bring a big one for my DD (4), DH, and myself and my DD 11 brings her own small suitcase. There is room for suitcases under your stateroom bed.

No limit and like someone else pointed out, suitcases fit under the bed if you want to unpack and get them out of the way.
