Booking flights today for June for my, hubby and our 6 and 4 yr old

We each get 10kg hand luggage and thinking of just paying for 2 x 15kg hold luggage as well - will this be enough? We are staying 4 nights / 5 days

That sounds like an awful lot to me!! Are you seriously going to need 70kg of clothes for that many days?? I would just stick with the hand luggage.

That will be more than enough - I'd only take one hold bag and your hand luggage.

I think that would be fine. The kg will include the weight of the actual bags, toiletries, shoes and then any shopping you might want to bring home. :)

Plus I would assume everything you want to take on the plane will have to be in your one piece of hand luggage - hand bag, any entertainment for the kids for the plane, etc etc. :)

Sounds perfect!! I dont do hand luggage!!
So myself and dd1 share a checked case 20kg
dd2 takes her dalmations hand luggage size case only because she insists!!!! Before that i would have checked a 2nd case , which would have been loads.

Also take my hand bag and the kids take a backpack between them for their inflight bits.

I always take hand luggage when I fly. Having the airline lose your cases while on a trip to the US once is not an experiance I would like to go through again. Sounds like you have arranged more than enough for your holiday.

For a trip like that we would manage with one suitcase and two or three items of hand luggage. What size is your luggage? There's no point in taking two bags you can only half fill (15kg isn't a huge amount, our medium sized suitcase weighs 20-25ishkg when filled) when you could take one and fill it up. Do you have the option to select one bag with more weight?

That's a really good point - There is the option for 20kg cases as well for just £1 extra than the smaller 15kg - so shall I just pay for the 1 20kg case and then have the standard one piece of hand luggage each?

First time to disney and first time on anything other than a package holiday where we usually take loads.

yes, I would just pay for the one heavier case :).

there is 4 of us...2 adults and 2 children and i personally take exactly what you have said and i do need every kg of it! guess everyone is different. i just find that at this time of year you need to pack extra coats/boots etc in case they get wet and these items are not light

For June I agree with others just one checked-in case:thumbsup2 When we go away in February for less than a week we often take as many bags as for a 2-week in summer, as we need to have stuff in case of getting soaked (its none to easy to dry clothes away from home;)) but for June you should be fine.
