How much is your "laundry allowance"?

You know...the money you find when doing the laundry. DH asks for a wallet every couple of years for Christmas, but I'm not sure why because he surely never uses it. Today I did 5 loads and ended up with $16.47.

I think I'll go buy a new book

The washer women (me) keeps a tip jar in the laundry room! When the family saw how much I was making, they have gotten better about leaving money in their pockets!

I routinely find money in DH's pockets, be it changes, or bills. Often I find $10's, $5's, and $1's, every once in awhile a $20. I put whatever I find into our secret emergency stash.

Unfortunately I don't "make" money doing the laundry because I am notorious for putting money in my back pocket and forgetting about it. Last spring when I took my shorts out of storage I found about $50 in a couple pairs of shorts. Any money in the laundry is usually mine.

Well, let's see...I've aquired a couple of wallets including the contents, free floating cash, mini radio with earbuds, a few keys, key chain fobs minus the keys, various types of candy...it's all mine!!!

Me, too! I put on a pair of jeans last week that I hadn't worn since it got hot... $20.00 in the back pocket!

Seeings how it is just me and my kids, and the kids never have any money, whatever I find in the laundry was mine to begin with and at that point, I am SO glad it is ME doing the laundry!

My wife found ( 20 ) $1 bill in our laundry today. But I had told her in advance to look for them. No, they weren't for dancers! I was planning on giving the delivery guys a tip using all my $1 bills. But then I thought that would be kinda cheesy!
