I'm afraid to find out after what I have seen tonight. A man on the news tonight has 6 adopted children. His ins went from $460 a month to $1340. a month.

Someone else posted on Facebook that her BCBS ins. Is going from $368. to $1164. a month. Her DH is a doctor.

A friend of my mothers, who is retired, said her policy is going from $270. to $507. A month.

I'm scared to know what ours will be. We have Federal BCBS and it's already expensive.

Have any of you found out what it will be yet? Please keep this to rates only and not political.

We find out in about 3 weeks but what you posted is really frightening. Ours is already $800 a month.

We are waiting to find out, probably will know something later this month or early Nov. We also have BCBS.

Our private insurance goes up about $175 IF we drop to the cheapest, least coverage plan. (we don't have a lot of coverage as it is, so not THAT far to drop! LOL) Staying where we're at takes us up about $250 at least.

Via ACA it would be about $300 more than what we pay now, with less coverage.

Still a little confused and mind boggled by it all. Especially since we pretty much NEVER use health insurance. Could certainly be worse, but still rough as our income isn't large and DH just finished furthering his education to finally get a raise and all that income will be going to health insurance instead.

Praying we get something figured out, though. :)

Ours is doubling! :faint: On top of that are prescription plan now counts toward our deductible!

After receiving notification yesterday from my HR department, there are 3 different types of increases. One is temporary. Our benefits at my company are not changing, but we will get the normal increase and I am assuming it will be the standard 5%; we currently have HSA that we pay out of pocket for everything anyway.

The extra fees mandated by the ACA are:

Comparative effectiveness research fee
Reinsurance assessment (supposed to be temporary)
Health insurance industry fee.

The only $ amount I received was it will increase 'slightly'. Their slightly and mine might be two totally different things. We will find out in about 2 weeks when we have our health benefits fair on the 27th.

0. DH's health insurance is funded through his union dues so we don't pay a separate amount for insurance.

We were told it will stay the same. I hope so. We currently pay $600/mo and the company pays the rest.

I used to get FULL health coverage without any $$ out of pocket when I worked. I miss those days.

Ours went from $800 a month to $1300 a month. On top of that they added a $5000 deductible which we never had before.

We locked in at a 12% increase for this year. This follows a 20% increase from last year.

We will be paying $1250/month to privately insure my family (HMO, high copays, $5000 pp annual deductible, $15000 family annual deductible),

From what I've read, the exchange would cost us $1500/month for less coverage.

Don't know the cost yet end of Nov.

Current plan will no longer be offered.

Insurance agent told me to expect the deductibles to go up way up.

Our ins through dhs employer surprisingly has no increase this year. Most years it has increased. We pay abt $600 a month for family coverage.

Nothing at all.

In happy news, my entrepreneurial sister's high deductible insurance is dropping from 1200/month to 450/month, allowing her to remain self employed as a life coach.

We don't know what ours is doing yet.

But there was an article in the paper yesterday about the county needing to raise what the union members pay from $250 to $2250 because its a Cadillac plan and they'll need to cover the taxes. That's a 1000% increase. That's insane.

Ours went up by $6,000 this past year so hoping it does not get any worse or we will have to drop it and pay the yearly tax instead.

Family coverage last year was $1235. Got numbers last week that it will be $1344 this year. Was $1100 in 2012, so a similar increase.

I'm covered by my place of work. I had to drop to a 70/30 plan a couple years ago (from a 80/20), in order to not pay extra over what they cover for me. All the components seem to be the same for next year as this year.

My husband's insurance is what we use for the family. There is no word from them about premiums yet, only a notice of what is required by the government so far.
