How much is your electric bill?

We actually have fairly reasonable electric rates in our area. I have a 2000 SF 2 story. Electric stove/dryer. We run our central air most of the time and there is always at least one TV on in the house ( :rotfl: ). Usually in the summer it is around $90 and in the winter around $50. So, not too bad at all I guess.

I wonder if rates are higher in the Northeast.....or the New England area? We had a big electric bill this month too, although it always seems to run
high-ish. Usually $120 or so but double that this month.
The electric company recently replaced our meter. The guy said it was a routine replacement.
I don't know. It seems that everything is more expensive these days. :confused3

Ours was $89 and we ran the A/C all month. We normally cool to 70 degrees, but did set it to 78 for a week when we were away. That includes an electric dryer too.

We just got our first power bill in this house - about 3600 feet, including basement, and the bill was $145. I was thrilled, thought it would be much higher.

We're on budget billing as well. It's about $165/mo for approx 2200 sq ft, although our water heater & stove are gas, not electric. I wish it were lower but it's as low as we can get it without sweating to death!

I just paid an electric of 555. I am home all day and don't conserve. We have dual ac's and ceiling fans in nearly every room. That was high even for us. We live in inland southern california and our home is 3300 sq feet.

$299.00 1200 sq ft home, bad insulation. Spa running full time and coral reef tank running all day with some crazy lighting system running all day.

We pay about $90 a month during the summer. That is for gas and electric. We dont have a/c. During the winter its about $200-250.

$120 month. (bill goes up about $60-$70mo during summer months for our pool.)
We really don't run A/C here because we are near the ocean and get a beautiful breeze.

Have Natural Gas for cooktop, & water heater. House is about 2,500 sq.ft.

I keep telling my husband that to conserve electricity I really shouldn't cook! :thumbsup2 Whats even better is that he's okay w/ that. Had cereal last night! :teeth:

We paid $310.00 this month. about 1600 sq. feet. Pool, washer, dryer, well water, AC, TV in every room and at least one is ALWAYS on...It use to be right around $200.00.. Geesh

Last month's bill was $215. Not bad considering how hot its been. We have an all electric home of 2300 square feet. No pool. I keep it at 73 during the day and 70 at night.

Well...for the month of May, it was $156, the one I just got for most of June was $254. 2600 square feet, a/c is electric. Of course, that utility bill includes electric, water, sewer, gas (hot water heater) and a $25 fire fee.

I'm expecting a top-out of around $325 or so in August.

In the winter, it's about $65. In the summer, when I have the central air on, it's about $110. I've lived in my house for 4 years and I've only had to change 2 lightbulbs - one in the kitchen and one in the bedroom. The house is almost 3,000 sq. feet. DH and I just don't use much electricity or heat (my propane budget plan is under $200./month for 10 months and we always end with a big credit). The house is new, so maybe that makes a difference, but I was just realizing the other day that most of the lights in the house are original. :goodvibes

1600 sq feet. Averaged out at $75 a month. That was before the 4 a/c units went in. Not too sure whats going to happen this month!

Electric stove, dishwasher, 3 tv's....Im guessing it will go up to about $100.00 with these a/c units.

The electric bill this month was $90 but that's a lot less than I was expecting since I run the a/c all the time. :woohoo:

1,870 sq ft home, no pool. Our electric bill was $105 this month. In the fall or winter, it's usually about $65, but our gas bill goes to $340.00. I'll take the heat any day!

In the winter it averages $550 and in the summer with the A/C its around $400
When its nice out and the heat and a/c aren't on, we pay $250. I think I would faint if I ever see it go below $200.....
Oh the house is about 5000 sf and its almost all electric, heat, dryer, stove and we have a pool.

$350 for a 3,000 sf house...all electric, dual heat pumps, and including sewer and water. It is lower in the non-summer temperatures (Nov-Apr) months, of course.

Mine came yesterday. $265.00 and climbing. Ask me again in August & September. :scared1:
