I seriously need someone to teach me this gift card thing lol. I've been reading about it all day, it sounds so confusing though!

haha! I was reading all day yesterday too. Send the thread to my sister the coupon jedi, to try to explain it to me in simpleton terms.. she just laughed, and then seemed to speak a totally different language in response. .. :)

This is a little depressing:

2 adults, 2 8 year olds, 1 2 year old

Airfare: $30 plus miles
8 nights at Polynesian TPV, DxDP, 5 day hoppers WP&M: $10,350.00
Dessert parties, TL cabana, Pirates & Pals cruise, etc.: approx. $1,000 to $1500 depending on what else I convince myself we need.

Let's not talk about shopping to prepare and at WDW.

The trip sounds amaaazzzing!!!! Pleaseee tell me you'll post a TR?

Crap. Now I have to think about this.. lol. :scratchin

... It's funny. When I was doing it in my head, it seemed like it was much cheaper... Now if you'll excuse me, I need to locate some Tums.... ... .. :crazy2:

Kid free trip for me and the hubs

3nts/4days at Pop with FD - $1200
Airfare - $600
Total $1800

:) Happy with that!

September 22nd-26th
All Star Sports with Disney Dining Plan - $964 (military discount)
4 day park hopper - $400 (military discount)
Airfare - Raleigh for $240 and Cleveland for my mom only $150.
Souvenirs - I don't even know yet.

Looking around $1,100 for me and $1,000 for my mom. I would say $2,100ish total for us both.

Doing a mother/daughter trip since we haven't gone since 2012. Plus, I live in NC due to my husband being military. My father and husband talked on the phone and said my mother and I need a getaway together.

May 12-21, 2016 family of 4
Flights: $750
Holiday Inn across from Universal 3 nights + 3 day park to park : $1065
CBR 6 nights + 5 days park hoppers + DDP : $3700 (ish)
Savings from buying Gift Cards: (-)$450
Incidentals $500

Around $5500 for a 9 night, 10 day trip all inclusive.

Calculation is a little off since we're DVC members. I know there is a cost to these rooms, but it's rolled into our monthly bills, so we don't really count it as "vacation spending" - just regular bills.

6 nights at Boardwalk Villas (1BR) - DVC points
APs from last September - $0
Food estimate (with a little extra) - $700
minus:
Disney gift cards earned through swagbucks - $476.18
A nice gift from my dad - $200
Dessert Party - $150
Gas - maybe $100, but that's probably high. Taking advantage of living in Georgia for the next year or so!
Food on the way down and back - $50 - also probably high. We have a Texas Roadhouse gift card to use and a Panera gift card.

So total OOP cost is hopefully around 323.82. If we hadn't had my dad send us some money, we'd be spending 523.82 approximately.

I'm hoping to be able to put most of the food on the gift cards, and our monthly gas spending will be lower now that school is out anyway, so this is coming out to be a pretty good trip!

Currently looking at about $2,950.00 (rounding a bit)

$550 - All-Star Sports (discount)
$150 - Tables in Wonderland
$800 - AP
$1000 - Spending (I'd rather over-save than under-save and be in an awkward spot)
$200 - Halloween party tickets

Right now I have my round-trip flight priced about $250 but I have tens of thousands of miles, so if I choose to use them it'll come out to $17 due to taxes and fees. I have relatively low monthly expenses so I just squirrel away a little at a time, put it on my airline credit card for the miles, then pay it all off.

Dec 10-17
3 Adults, 3 kids (Me, wife, kids, and mother-in-law)
5 day tickets = $1870
1 day @ Legoland (w/ 3 bogo free kid coupons)= $250
3 Br Condo @ Windsor Hills = $620
Food = $600 (probably a little optimistic with this number, but between 1/2 and 3/4 of meals will be made at condo as too much eating out = blah for our family, plus DS9 has chronic kidney disease, so too much sodium = bad)
Parking/Gas = $200
Souvenirs/Magic Bands/Memory Maker/Misc. = $700 w/ $300 being paid with Disney Reward Dollars
Pet sitter = $200

~$4100 For 7 nights, with MIL covering about $700 of that, so $3400 out of my own pocket.

Do you mind my asking how much your airfare is from NC? I would love to fly (from RDU), and have looked at rates but I am not sure what a "good" RT rate would be. Thanks!
