I just finished tallying up our final budget for our big adventure May 2-17th. :good vibes
2 Adults, 2 kids ages 10 and 13, so 4 'adults".
West Coasters from British Columbia, but flying from Seattle.
I am open to suggestions or critiques if you see an area I will find myself short.
Air Fare (booked):$1,300
Universal; 3 nights (booked): $1,600
Disneyworld; 12 nights/10 day PH with water park option (booked): $5,000
Photo Pass: $150
Rental car: $500
Kennedy Space Center; DH and DS: $300.00
Seattle Hotel and parking: $300.00
Dog "babysitter": $300
Tips for housekeeping:$100
Food: $2500
Souvenirs: $450
Grand total: $12,500
I rounded everything up to the nearest $100. Our Disney package is rack rate, so will go down if discounts come out that I can apply.
Our food budget works out to be $156.25 per day from time we fly out to when we return. We land in Seattle at 11 am and drive home on our return day, so split that day with our Seattle night. We plan on doing easy breakfasts (cereals, milk, juice maybe protein shakes) in room as we really do not enjoy breakfast buffets and want to keep some healthy options in our diet for the 2 weeks.
We have a few TS meals planned, mostly lunches. When we have been at
Disneyland we found we split counter service meals and kind of grazed with some snacks. So the days we do not plan a TS meal we will probably have 4 CS meals and 4-6 snacks between all of us OOP. Does this look right????
Kids mostly have their own spending money for "things".
The only area I think we will need to boost is the car.....I should add $200 unless some good deals come out closer to.
