How much is your 2014 WDW vacation going to cost you?

Just booked POP for October 17-26 for DBF and myself with 9 day Hoppers. Total with vacation insurance: $2173.60.

The nightly rate was only a dollar or two more than I budgeted using 2013 rates.

May 4-10 2 adults 3 kids (9, 6, 4)

Contemporary Resort BLV with 5 day base tickets $ 5087.55. If I add the dining plan it would go to 6131.31. I had looked into club level but it was 1400 more and I don't think we will use it enough to justify the cost. We are driving so no flights.

I booked a room-only a few months ago and bought tickets from UT before the price increase.

DH and I will be staying at POR from 1/9-1/18, with the first 2 nights in a Royal Guest Room and the rest in a Garden View room (requesting Alligator Bayou). The room total comes to $1,500 (so nice and even lol) and 5-day Park Hoppers were $647, bringing the total to $2,147.

Assuming I am doing everything right on the website, if we were to book the second reservation as a package with 5-day PH and the keep the first 2 nights room-only, the total would come out to $2,675.44... $528 more expensive! :scared1:

One thing that is throwing me for a loop...on the website it says that the first two nights in the Royal Guest Room are $217 a night, but it says the average price is $244, and my total in the cart is $488?? I thought it might have been adding on taxes or other fees, but the rest of the week adds up correctly. :confused3

Edit: I figured out the price issue! It was taxes...my bad

Just booked two rooms at POR 1 king and a garden with 6 day water and hopper for 4937. I will also budget 3000 for food, ect. So for a family of 5 with 4 adults it might be pricey but its Disney!:thumbsup2

Forgot to add we are going Aug 10-16 2014

March 1-8, 2 adults and 2 kids. POR in the Royal Rooms, 6 day hoppers and it's coming to around $3,000. I'm estimating another $2,000 for food and souvenirs.
Hoping for a room discount at some point!

why don't you just add the dining plan then?
The dining plus is a little over 1000 for the 4 of you.

We are doing Sept 20-28, POR standard room, 7 day ticket with hopper and that is 3207.01. We booked through disney G U R U. they are giving an additional day at the parks free with a 3 day purchase. That does not include dining but we have 3 disney adults and one disney child. We generally go in Sept and 9 times out of 10 have receivied free dining. So, that is the cost if we were to get free dining.

Not bad at all.

Excuse me while i am still in sticker shock...
I booked a time frame that always has discounts. So keeping my fingers crossed.
Last week of feb into march.

Room is $181-$201 a night. No discount for being a single. I am paying the same rate as 2 people in the room would.

It is actually October 15-23.

With no tickets the total is $1674.02. Add in 7 day tickets with parkhoppers takes you up to $2067.36. Add in insurance (which I do get after all the stuff that has happened in the last year alone) and you come to $2143.31.

I honestly am just fine with that cost. I was supposed to go this year but my mom (and travel partner) passed away in May. This year is too soon for me. I am just postponing the trip so it actually will be less next year then the trip would have been this year (1 less person after all).

I am also NOT a DDP person because I don't like being told "how" to eat at a specific meal. Especially with many of my "meals" being Food and Wine Festival booths! I am planning on 4 TS meals (Raglan Road, Flying Fish, Boma, and Via Napoli). I also WAY over budget when it comes to food. As in, appetizer, entree, and dessert at all TS meals, combo meals at all CS, $20 each for "extra" snacks and drinks, $75 per "meal" time period (lunch and dinner) each time I do Food and Wine booths for "meals, the most expensive items on the menu, and for every day of my trip (including arrival and departure days). I very, VERY rarely get an appetizer AND dessert and I just about never use the extra $20 for snacks in a single day. So $1200 there is most likely quite a bit higher then I will spend but I like not having to worry about what I want to order. "Better to have money left over then not be able to do what I want" is how I like to vacation!

I understand completely. For my family, it makes sense for the DDP. It's more convinent for us to just know it's all paid for. Plus, we like doing character breakfast . I do understand though ,that for a single traveler OOP would be the way to go. It does get stressful truing to make ADR's...lol

Sept 20th thru sept 25 th
POR standard view
3 Disney adults
DDP
6 day hoppers
$3762.79

If we get free dinning it will be a lot less

Could change depending in discounts offered

January 23-30
4 adults, 2 children (1 free)
BLT 2 bedroom
8 day tickets, no hoppers

$8025.99

Photo pass plus $150

Money for food. $1500

Money for snacks/drinks in room $200

Driving so no costs there (whew)

Total: $9875.99

So hoping for some sort of discount I can apply to the room. If not going to the poly and getting 2 rooms

I'm getting ready to book now. My dates are 5/28/2014- 6/6/2014. My price for ten days at Art Of Animation Little Mermaid with QSDP, and base tickets for me, DS 14, DD 6, and DD 3 is $3920. We will be driving. I figure also about $200 for CRT, which is only TS I have planned. I also am considering Photopass plus.

Polynesian
Jan 11th - 18th
Standard Room
2 Adults
1 four year old girl

- Park Hopper
- Water Park package (mostly just for Disney Quest)

$4806.40 (not including tickets to fly which will probably be another $600)

We're thinking about adding the Photo Package, but we're not sure if its worth it at that price.

We're keeping our fingers crossed for a free Dining package.

We've got one booked and another planned. Here are the breakdowns!

Feb 21st-24th for four adults:

Renting DVC points at BWI: $724
Glass Slipper Challenge: $305
Flights: approx $250 each (so $750 because only three of us are flying)
Potential park ticket: $90
Food: $200 (per person, so $800)

So, we're at $1,026 for the two of us running GSC without including spending money.

For October, we're hoping to do ToT 10-miler but still waiting for registration for that to open (so we'll be waiting a while!) Anyways, this is what I'm thinking.

October 3rd-5th for two adults:

2 nights at ASMo: $266
ToT 10-miler and 5k: $185 (per person)
Food: $100 (per person, so $200)
MNSSHP: $65 each
Flights: $250 each (hoping to have enough frequent flier miles to use, though!)

Without any discounts or savings, we'd be at $733 per person. I'm hoping if I can't get any flights with FF miles, at least my estimate will be too high so I'll shave some off there.

Anyone else burning their trip budgets with runDisney?! :lmao:

May 27 - June 2, 2014
2 adults, 1 child, 1 infant (hope I won't regret bringing the baby)
5 day Park Tickets with Hoppers
No Meal Plan

Contemporary Garden View: $4,143.47
Beach Club Garden View: $3,978.11
(We booked both because we can't decide. Hoping for 30% off room rate.)

We wil probably spend more money on food if we stay at BC. Haven't put a budget on food. We fly for free.

Not sure if it's a fluke but Disney didn't charge a holiday rate for Memorial Day. Either way, to avoid the crowds, we will fly in the day after.

I usually do an ADR every day, but I want to have more time to eat at Food and Wine booths this year. Going to be hard enough to get everything I want since there is only me (no one to share with) without also having all that TS food. Only one of my 4 reservations is on an Epcot day (Via Napoli) and only because I LOVE LOVE LOVE the place. The other three are on my DTD evening, MK, and AK days for after the parks.

This really is a "me" trip. First time traveling solo and not having to plan for anyone else. It will be emotional and being alone will help with that as well (not HAVING to talk so someone about it).

And, I am BOOKED! Had the most wonderful CM who helped me with changing the reservation. Ended up upgrading to a garden view (it was mom's favorite). Total came to $2,318.26. I will most likely upgrade to an AP and get TIW since I will have a trip in 2015 as well.

I booked 5/25 - 5/31.. I hope we get the discount for spring/early summer they have offered the past few years. It's a % off your resort. Fingers crossed :)

I was going to book today, but after seeing the prices for the week I want, I am no longer sure. With two of my kids now classified as adults by Disney standards, the price is making me think of different vacation options. I have been spoiled the last 4 trips have had great discounts for our travel dates. I'm hoping that they do at least the spring offer again this year.

For AOA LM room, March 29-April 5, 6 day MGY + QS dining = $3489

If they offer the 20% discount, we will go to Pop if they don't include the LM rooms at AOA. If my math is right, then it would be $3169.32.

Honestly, after seeing the non-discounted price, we might do a 4 day cruise and 1 day at Universal this year instead. The price will be comparable.

I'm going to WDW for RunDisney Glass Slipper, too; but I think I more splurged than budgeted. I won't be able to come back to Disney for awhile at my rate.
Staying 11 nights total (Feb 19- March 2nd) & also doing Tink at Disneyland Jan 15-20th; I'll be all Disney-ed out (nah that can't happen!). :)

Tried pricing some things before the server got busy or went down...

8/4/14-8/8/14- 5 days/4 nights
3 adults and 1 ten year old "adult"
5 day tix w/hopper
DDP

CR- garden wing, garden view - $4339
AoA - Cars suite - $3623

Both are about $400 more than prices for the same week of 2013.
