How much is you trip costing you?

\
DD and I have cheapy APs so need to pay $30 each for 2 blackout days = 120
\)

You'll need to change that amount since DLR has increased the price of blockout tickets to $40 per day. Consider upgrading to a Deluxe AP? :confused3

Drive from Phx to HoJo: $100 RT
6 3-day Parkhoppers (through gaydays): $700
4 Nights in HoJo Queen Suite (ent. rate): $400
Food purchased in parks ($40 a day): $120
Character Breakfast at Storytellers: Disney Visa Rewards
Souveniers: prepurchased from Dollar Store & Disney Character Warehouse

TOTAL FOR FAMILY OF 6: $1370

Return flights from Australia through United Airlines $5300

Park Vue Inn for 9 nights $1000

Disneyland 6 day hopper tickets $400

Allowing $200 a day for food and spending $4200

Misc tours and such around LA & NYC $500

Total roughly $11400 AUD for two adults spending 21 days in both Anaheim and Connecticut.

Sheesh...

airfare for 5 from PA $1000
r/t shuttle transportation $120
4 nights PP concierge $777
3A/1C 5 day park hopper tix $587
1 deluxe AP $259
***********
$2743 before food or souvenirs! We are eating breakfast in the concierge lounge and will get water bottles from there to take to the parks. We are going to BB for lunch and the PCH Grill character breakfast, but the rest will be counter service. We make somewhat frequent Disney trips so our kids are really good about not expecting a ton of souvenirs. I will probably buy them all sweatshirts and that's it, and they will each be taking $30 of their own money to spend on whatever.

 -Dropping the car off @ master park for 10 days

I live in Tacoma too, and if I weren't already going to be in Anaheim, I'd take you guys to the airport! I can't even imagine parking for that long...when we went on our honeymoon we were so against parking that we took Metro (living in Fed Way at the time) to the Amtrak station in Seattle, to get to Vancouver to get on our cruiseship. My anti-paying-for-parking mind is hurting for you. :upsidedow

Though we *might* pay for two days' worth, b/c we leave on the 6th in the evening, and DH has to get back on the 8th. Friends get annoyed if you ask them TOO often for rides. :rotfl: Then again, I tend to pay the friends with cakes, so everyone is happy.

Thank you, that was so kind of you to offer:) and I know how you feel. I don't want to park the car but we have no choice because we leave the house at 4:30am and we wouldn't want to ask anyone to get up that early. We always park at lot A which has never had any trouble with car theft they have cameras all over the parking lot and someone is always there because it's a 24hr lot. We always take our 92 Dodge Spirit to park at master park that way if anything were to happen to it, it wouldn't be that big of a deal. Not saying I don't care because I do, besides it's insured. We park our 2 newer cars in our parents garages. What part of Tacoma do you live in?

Dh is working in the Ontario area on a short term contract so the girls and I were already flying out to spend Thanksgiving with him. We weren't planning on going to DL at all but things kind of snowballed. Our not going to DL turned into 1 day only and then into 3 days. :yay: We figured this is probably the only time we'll make it to the area for a long time so we're going to have fun!!!

Airfare from BWI to LAX for 3 - $925
Hotel 2 nights before DL - $183
Hotel 1 night after DL - $110
Package for 3 nights DLH, 3 day hoppers for 4 and extras - 1269
Discover the Magic Tour - $188
Total - $2675 + food and trinkets

The look on the girls faces when we pull up to the DLH and they realize that we aren't going caching but going to DL - priceless.

Since we were making the trip already, we really only consider the DLH, tickets and tour as extra money we wouldn't have spent otherwise.

We're right at the edge of Stadium and Downtown, and we just love it. We were in the boonies of University Place last year, and I had to drive to take a walk anywhere....but now I can walk for almost anything we need. :)

I don't think DH would go for it anymore after a Super 8 experience we had in Oregon, but I/we used to stay one night at the SeaTac Super8 because they let you park in their lot, and they have a free shuttle. But I think 10 days is too long... And there were some news stories about their lot not being as safe as I felt it was... But it's an idea. :upsidedow

For that much, your pretty close to being able to simply upgrade to the better annual pass... something to concider.

Can you do that? We bought passes in July for $124 each -- I think those are the Southern Calif special passes. Can you upgrade that much later after you bought the passes???

Thanks for the info,
JULIE

Thanks. I just checked the website and saw that, :headache: The park is blacked out for 2 days of our 4 day trip for our pass and the other SoCal pass. It's blacked out on one day for the deluxe pass and of course not blacked out at all for the premium one.

If we upgraded to the other SoCal pass, we would still have to pay the $40 *2 people * 2 days = $160

If we upgrade to the deluxe pass we would still have to pay the $40 *2 people * 1 day = $80 + the difference in cost = $130 * 2 = $260 + $80 = $340

If we upgrade to the premium pass we would have to pay the difference in cost = $250 * 2 = $500

So in this case, it doesn't make sense to upgrade. But I appreciate the suggestions, as I hadn't even thought of this!!!

Thanks,
JULIE

Family of 3 going for 5 nights - 6 days and not including food/shopping it comes to $2k, that includes a day at universal.

5 nights at the Desert Inn and Suites: $525
5 day hopper for 2 adults, 1 child: $450
Gas: $120

I bought a $200 Disney gift card when we got our tax return and we have $330 in Disney Rewards so that should take care of food and souvineers, although I plan to bring an extra $100 for the snack carts and just in case.

5 nights DLH: Free (DVC, I know technically not free:upsidedow )
Gas: 400
2 day park hoppers for 2 adults & 2 children: 448
2 days at US for 2 adults & 3 children: 120
Food: planning 300 (bringing own breakfast, lunches, and snacks)
Shopping: $300

Total: $1568 (Trying to get it even cheaper, after 8 days at WDW and buying DVC in June we are starting to feel the crunchpopcorn:: )

My DS and I are spending the time with some friends who'll be there for the filming of the Christmas parade so we're getting in on their group rates.

Airfare $465
Hotel for 4 nights $210
3 Day Passes $210
Rental Car $70
Misc. $200

TOTAL $1155

Well lets see..

GCH Concierge = $926 (3 nites)
GCH Standard room = $402 (1 nite)
Air for 5 = $700
Limo to/from airport = $88 inc gratuity
AP's for 4 = $1036
5 day PH for mom = $189
Food = $700
Fun = $300

So $4200, We're taking my mom this year so costs are a little higher than normal. She'll be picking up most of the souvies that the girls want, so we probably won't spend $300 on that. And we decided to do AP's for us, and at the very least get next year's annual trip out of them too...saving $$$ next year on PHs. I reminded my DH just last nite that we are actually saving money in 2008 by investing in AP's in 2007. hehe. We'll see how many times we convince him to go between now and then. Something tells me my Highlander might be getting a few middle of the nite trips to Anaheim next year. One can hope.

What limo do you us? I use Best and it cost me 134. to disneyland and 133. back to the airport

How much is you trip costing you?

Gas: $125
Tickets: $ 200
Food: $150
Hotel: $260
Misc: $250

Total for a 1 weekend trip:$1000

GAS $125 (approx)
Hotel: $410
Tickets: $0 ap's
Food/Misc: $250 (eating most meals in hotel. 1 nice meal with rewards points)

Family of 4 Dec 5-8 in park 6/7

Total: $785. I'm sure I will spend less on food by eating in.

I could do better with the hotel, but I like being across the street and I'm used to it. I could save about $50 but oh well.
