How much is you trip costing you?

From Brisbane 2 Adults $7500 for 14 days in Anaheim
Airfares $4000
Hotel $1800
tickets, 6 day car hire etc $1800

Well I live in Hawaii so my trip is costing:scared1:

$6,500-$7,000:eek: thats including shopping:love: , foodpopcorn:: , hotel @ DLR:woohoo: , Auunal Passes for 3:cheer2: , plane tickets for 4:dance3: , fantasmic:wizard: , transportation from aiport :rolleyes: and anything else I may have forgotten:rolleyes1 .

But what is money when you are left with lasting memories:cloud9: .

Yeah only 24 days to go:yay: , I can't wait:cool1: . I think I may be more excited than my two kids:banana: , hahaha.:rotfl:

Zena :cutie:

And I though I could do a trip to DL for under $1400.00, looks like it may have to wait now.

We thought about that too, but the lockers outside the maingate are BEASTLY expensive. I want to say about $15 each time you go in or out. I'd rather put that same money toward a pretzel with cheese and a churro!!

um no, the lockers are a day rental, so you have a code, you can go in and out as many times as you want to during that day.

And I though I could do a trip to DL for under $1400.00, looks like it may have to wait now.

Where are you coming from? How many folks etc?

My last trip cost me
69 for hotel
20 for putting the dog in the kennel
120 in gas
100 in food and souvies

I have aps so that helps, but if you had to buy a 2 day pass to cover it

120

still under 500 bucks for 2 days at DL including food, and you would have eaten anyway, so at least some of that cost is offset by everyday occurences.

This December will be our first trip ever to SoCal and Disneyland.

Our costs break down as follows:

Flights (via Southwest Airlines, from KC to the Ontario, Ca airport, four seats, roundtrip): $656.00

Hotel (via HoJo - 2 queen bed room for 5 nights, with Entertainment Book rate, with estimated 15% tax): $310.50

Rental Car (via Avis, through Priceline, full size car, $18/day + tax/fees): $128.40

Park Hopper Tickets (via Gay Days convention site, 2 adult, 2 child, 4-day hoppers): $526.95

That's $1621.85 so far, and we'll need to eat, and buy some gas for the rental car, and play in Newport for a half-day, so I'm estimating a total around $2200.

Our trip will be a group of 7, DFIL, DMIL, DH, 3 Kids

$3000.00 for 2 bedroom suite for 7 nights, 5 day parkhoppers for all,1 EE, Goofy's Kitchen breakfast.
$700.00 gas for 2 cars for the drive
$700.00 food (our hotel offers full breakfast)

Total:$4400.00 not including souvenirs and fun stuff

We split the cost between 2 families which helps a lot.
I agree with the poster who said time with family: priceless!

5 more days!!!!:eek: SO EXCITED!!!:cool1:

Love this thread. Gives me an idea of what to expect for food costs.

We are staying in SoCal for a week in December with 4 nights at DL and 3 nights with family (free!).

Airfare: Free (miles)
Airport hotel (park and fly special): $90
4 nights hotel at Hilton: $264 (Priceline)
2 5-day park hoppers: $372
Rental car for 5 days: $115
Food: ????

So far, the total is $841 without food and souvenirs. I also have over $200 in Disney Dollars to spend so that will help with the costs.

We are looking at about 4300.00

this is for 5 of us.. and includes

airfair from Kansas city and back
5 day park hopper
shuttle
3 character meals
6 nights in hotel

We thought about that too, but the lockers outside the maingate are BEASTLY expensive. I want to say about $15 each time you go in or out. I'd rather put that same money toward a pretzel with cheese and a churro!!

Are you sure? DH rented a locker and read the instructions, and he said it was $15 for the whole day, in and out privileges allowed.

*********
I'm still trying to figure out what the Disney portion of this trip will cost. In Sept we did a package, but the total cost of the trip was hard to figure out, b/c we were doing other things before and after, so especially the transportation was hard to figure out.

Well lets see..

GCH Concierge = $926 (3 nites)
GCH Standard room = $402 (1 nite)
Air for 5 = $700
Limo to/from airport = $88 inc gratuity
AP's for 4 = $1036
5 day PH for mom = $189
Food = $700
Fun = $300

So $4200, We're taking my mom this year so costs are a little higher than normal. She'll be picking up most of the souvies that the girls want, so we probably won't spend $300 on that. And we decided to do AP's for us, and at the very least get next year's annual trip out of them too...saving $$$ next year on PHs. I reminded my DH just last nite that we are actually saving money in 2008 by investing in AP's in 2007. hehe. We'll see how many times we convince him to go between now and then. Something tells me my Highlander might be getting a few middle of the nite trips to Anaheim next year. One can hope.

Hotel (HoJo ent. Rate, 6 nights)= $324
DL Tickets(4, 4day Park Hoppers)= $525
Gas(to and from)= $300
Food/Fun= $800

6 day trip/Family of 5 $1949

:banana:

(we will then spend two more days in San Diego for approx $600 more)

From Seattle to SNA, 11/18 – 11/23 (5 nights), family of 5

Flights $500 (mileage for some tickets, paid tickets were about $240 RT including fees)
Hotel $600 – BWPPI (Travelocity rate, room type we wanted was not available on BWPPI website)
Rental Car $200 (Hotwire rate)
Tickets (citypass) - $1025 (Costco)
Airport parking $50

After souvenirs, food etc., we will probably run about $2700.

We are going for 4 days from 12/19-12/22. It will be me, DS (8), and DD (6).

3 nights at the Embassy Suites = 425 (includes full breakfast and happy hour)
4 day pass for DS = 149
DD and I have cheapy APs so need to pay $30 each for 2 blackout days = 120
Food = 200
Souveniers ($25/kid/day) = 200

I'm not counting gas since we will be driving to LA area anyway.

Total = 1094 for 2 1/2 days and 2 full days.

JULIE (from San Jose)

Are you sure? DH rented a locker and read the instructions, and he said it was $15 for the whole day, in and out privileges allowed.

Agreed. We get are in and out of the lockers many times each day - we use jackets early in the day and during the evening, but stash them during the middle of the day, we keep waters in there, etc.
