How much is you trip costing you?

Gas: $125
Tickets: $ 200
Food: $150
Hotel: $260
Misc: $250

Total for a 1 weekend trip:$1000

I would say between hotel, shuttle from SNA and back, Flight, Ariel Grotto, Fantasmic, Morning Madness Tickets, rental car for one day to go to Legoland, Legoland. Is close to $2000. That is not including meals or shopping. Is I am guessing in the end $3000.

$1500

Airplane tickets: free (using frequent flyer miles)
Hotel: 5 nights: $600
Hertz rental car: $176
Tickets: free (AP holders)
Food: $350
Miscellaneous: $300

Let's see...

Family of 5:
Airfare: $600
Car Rental: Free (DH's rental points)
7 night Hotel & 5 Day Hopper Tickets: $1600
Food: Feeding 5 always costs too much, but we have at least $200 in Disney Visa Reward $ to offset it. (I expect about $80/day)
A week together as a family at DL: Priceless!

I couldnt have said it better Vanvmom... That a trip to DL with family is PRICELESS.... It will be well worth any amount of money.

We try to go mega-cheap.
We live in Las Vegas so we always drive.
120 for gas
60 for hotel per night through hotwire
no tickets, AP holder
100 ish a day on food. Could probably cut it by bringing our own water and some snacks, but we LOVE Disneyland food
30 ish on souvenirs

We are looking for ways to cut back so we can go more often.

Er, my flights alone are costing me $12,000 :scared1: :rotfl: and I'm too frightened to add up the total cost heh heh.

So I'm just gonna answer by saying it's costing me WHATEVER IT TAKES :thumbsup2

We just tallied everything and our last trip cost about $3000. We bought 5 plane tickets, private shuttle (worth the little bit extra!), 4 nights hotel at Camelot Inn, 3 day park hoppers, 1 character breakfast, food, souviners. Worth it :goodvibes

I guess that total didn't include a few extras that we bought for the plane: sticker books, notebooks, snacks, etc -- just adds a bit more to the total. And then the cost of having the digital photos printed -- ok, who needs to add more on to the talley lol We'll just go with the original amount!

We're living it up this year at the GCH
(4) 5 day hoppers
Gas

The $300 does not include food or shopping. Off setting that a bit with some Visa reward cards and Disney dollars from Chase.

Gas-$75- we live about 2 hours away (depends on traffic)
Hotel FREE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (saved up my reward points)
Tickets (2 adult and 2 kids 2 day parkhoppers) $402
Food $250 (our hotel has a full kitchen)
Souvenirs I'm guess around $100 at the most.

Steph

I should probably add that when our APs are current, and we drive down, we can manage a 5 day trip for just over $1000 (hotel, food and gas).

To cut food costs, we stay at a hotel with free breakfast (my family members are not big breakfast eaters, so buying yogurt at 7-11 works for us too). We also do one "sandwich" or meat and cracker meal at the hotel room or by the lockers outside the maingates, and bring snack bars or nuts into the park in a backpack or purse. We find that saves us about $30/day in food. I've found all sorts of ways to stretch a dollar to be able to afford a trip to DL.

Think ours is about 1400.

Includes 3 plane tix (2 paid with miles)
5 nites @ Anabella
(3) 4 day hoppers
Transfer between OC and DL

4 Adults:

7 nights at BWPPI
5 Day Park Hoppers
Front of the line passes for Universal
Tickets to Knott's
Tickets to Midievil Dinner Show
12 Passenger Van for 3 days
Private Shuttle to Sea-Tac & back home
Private Shuttle to BWPPI & back to SNA
Oops! I forgot to place Plane Tickets on the list, but the total cost is the same.

Total for the 4 of us was $3200.00, but DS paid $1500.00 of it.

Our daughter's family is paying for half the cost of the van & shuttles.

Not bad for all we get to do. Not bad at all. :thumbsup2

4 more days! :cool1: :yay: :dance3: :cool1: :yay: :dance3: :cool1:

Drive from UT & Back - $500 (It's too expensive to fly with 6 + a hassle to bring 4 carseats with us on the plane)
Stay overnight in NVx2 - $100
Portofino 6 nights + 7 day hoppers for 4 - $1555
I agree family time is priceless yet still I'm out every day looking for a better deal.

I don't want to even think about food or souveniers yet, but that comes from next years vacation budget.

It's getting kind of expensive for the average family in my opinion. Last year the low-season nightly rate for a standard room at the PPH: $165. This year the low-season nightly rate for a standard room at the PPH: $225. YIKES, that's quite the increase!!!

After just going down, this is what we spent.

$1550 for 4 nights at PPH (theme park view), 5 day park hoppers for 2 adults and 2 children, a $25 gift card, and character breakfast for 4.

$550 for roundtrip airfare for 4 (used some air miles).

$160 for 2 nights at HOJO (entertainment card rate, premium view room).

$60 for 4 Knott's tickets (just got lucky).

$260 for 7-day car rental (that includes gas).

$900 for food.

$150 for shopping/fun stuff (I'm glad I have boys!).

$120 for 4 tickets to MHT.

Total = $3750 :scared1: (Oh my gosh, don't tell my DH! He'd have a fit if he knew our trip cost THAT much!!!:scared: :ssst: )

Let's see my last trip in October went like this:

GCH: $1007 total with tax.
Gas: $250
Food: $400
Fun money: $400

So a total of: $2057 (having AP's really helped!)

Our next trip in June will be similar, except we'll be staying at the Tropicana so our hotel will be MUCH less (probably around $350-400).

We thought about that too, but the lockers outside the maingate are BEASTLY expensive. I want to say about $15 each time you go in or out. I'd rather put that same money toward a pretzel with cheese and a churro!!

Hmmm... Okay, for Decembers trip

Flight-$1000
7 Nights @PP $2000
Rental Van-$400
Food-$1500
Spending Money-$500
Miscellaneous-$300

Total....oh my... Dont tell my dh!

Our trip in October cost about $16,000 (airfares from Australia were about $13,000, I sympathise with Cookiedude), but it was worth every dollar!

From Sydney, my budget is $22000 AUD, but that includes 3 nights in Las Vegas, taking DD to Grand Canyon, and 10 nights in Anaheim. 2 Adults, 1 Child (About $19000US). Includes everything - airfares alone for the 3 of us are $7,000.

Thank goodness for a strong AUD!!!
