How much is too much???

we've only been to WDW on one trip that was LESS than 14 nights....that was easter week last year and 8 nights was for sure not enough...it seemed like we were just settling in and it was time to go home already....this junes' trip will be 16 nights again....we've never really been bored at disney, but, I will admit that by the time 14 or 15 nights have gone be, Im usually ready to get back home and get back to work(not from boredom though).....as far as having a plan goes, that's the beauty of the longer trips; you don't really need to plan out a whole lot; you just do what you feel like doing....it allows the freedom to relax and do things at whatever pace you want to....BTW, one of the OP mentioned splitting resorts; this is an excellent idea!! We always split our stay between two different disney resorts...

One of our trips to WDW each year is usually 2-3 weeks. Not too long at all. It gives us a chance to really relax and enjoy. We think of it as our second home so it's not a typical "commando" type Disney vacation, just a nice relaxing family time away that happens to be smack dap in the middle of all the magic!! We treat it the same way as other people treat their summer beach homes. Relax and enjoy and tune out what other people have to say.

Have a Wonderful Vacation!!

Ya know what? Forget what everyone is telling you about being crazy for going for that long. If you can afford it and WANT to do it, THEN DO IT! Personally, I think it would be a blast! How in the world could you get bored at Disney World? There's so much to do! Have a Great Time!

I agree with everyone that it's your vacation to do as you please. I'm sure I'm in the minority here, but after about 7-8 days, I'm ready to come home. . . .

Yup Alison. We're going for 32 nights. And we won't be bored! It just gives you more time and makes the holiday less frenetic...

Thank you all so much!!! I never thought that I could be bored at Disney but sometimes comments made by people that don't understand my addiction get to me !! Like some people said "it's not any of their business". I just wanted to get other opinions before I wasted alot of time and money !! To me it's heaven but some people just don't get it.I can't wait to relax and take time to totaly immerse myself in the magic of Disney!
P.S. I love these boreds so much because everyone here understands my need to visit the mouse. Thanks everyone!!

Oh my gosh, 14 nights in DW sounds absolutely heavenly to me. I don't think you could ever run out of things to do there. Hope you guys have a great time!:D

Ian, you lucky lucky....****** :) :lol

I'd love 4 weeks out there - I've got plenty of leave to take but no money!!!

Still, only 2 weeks to go until my paltry 2 weeks!

::MickeyMo Never too much! I would love to be able to go and spend 2 weeks, but work schedule just doesn't allow it right now. My next two trips I am taking my oldest granddaughters (one at a a time) and really can't take them out of school for more than a week. But I am hoping that someday.....Me & Mickey for 2 weeks. AAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH:earsgirl: ::MickeyMo

I will not even consider anything less that two weeks. Two weeks allows downtime and a chance to see the sights and capture the little things that you would otherwise rush past in the parks.

Loved the 14 days both trips I've been there, and looking forward to the next (2005). As someone else said, how could you ever be bored at WDW. There is always outside the world too, should you find time to venture.

If you were going on a Carribean vacation where there is nothing to do but eat drink and lounge around the pool, one week would be enough (time seems to stand still) but this is Disney !!!!!!

Enjoy !!!!

We love our two week trips. The weekend after the first week in the best!! I find that it usually takes about 3 or 4 days just to unwind from the rat race and then you are thinking about going home already if it is only a week. 2 weeks is perfect for me and I am ready to come home at the end of that totally relaxed.

Too much?! Not a chance. I wish I were going for two weeks. I would even do three if I had the cash!

Sorry Alison, but it's the one perk of being a teacher, the long summer holidays (at least for the moment anyway). We're the same about the money though. However, we usually find that 'living' in Orlando is cheaper than if we stayed in sunny Britain! (lol)

Please - ignore those nattering nay-sayers. Plan your trip, save your pennies, and have a great time.

Don't even try to make others understand, because either you get it, or you don't. So many sights, the gardens, the rides and the shows, and the food! and the sunshine! and the pools and the pampering, and the shopping and the theming....

People love what they love - you've got Disney, my neighbor has Colorado skiing. My husband has "Phantom of the Opera" (in London, no less, thank you very much.)

Have a great time....and go back if you want, too.

We have a wonderful time. Get up whenever, don't care even if their r lines,we have the time so it doesn't matter.
Go for as long as you can and enjoy.
