$200 is too much i guess.......i have to spend a LOT on my clothes. ESPECIALLY jeans.....I'm 5ft7.5, but I wear anything from a 1 to an 8.....it depends.....so pants that fit in the waist/legs/etc, arent long enough:rolleyes:

No vote here. Personally, I don't own a single outfit that costs more than $100. Most are MUCH less. BUT, I'm not much of a clothes horse, and some people are!

I think what's important in deciding cost is how often you'll wear it. IF you'll wear it very often, it's much easier to justify a more expensive outfit, assuming the quality is good and will take that much wear. So you think you'll wear it every other weekend? Go ahead...splurge!

If it's a once-in-a-blue-moon type item, I'd spend as little as possible. But that's just me :)

The jeans I wear are regular $40, but I wait for the $30 sale or store coupons :)

I personally wouldn't want to go over $50.00. But - I have on more than one occasion!:o Now, what I have shelled out for my teens.....:faint:

Esmeralda - I adore that first dress!! The others are also pretty - but the first one is absolutely stunning! My neighbors are big into the Medieval/Pensic Wars re-enactments. She has some wonderful costumes. That's where they are right now - there's a Pensic event not too far from our house - the big tents can be seen from the interstate. People come from all over America and even other countries to joust, party, trade, etc.

I thought so. My oldest DD, 21, would love them. What kind of work do you do? DD sells cellphones and I don't think they would like her in those clothes! LOL!

:) I work in an office in Boston, doing some very hard to explain stuff for a big publisher.

We have a pretty ,lenient dress code. No skimpy clothes, no sneakers or flip flops or shorts, no jeans (except on Friday). Other than that it's pretty much wear what you want. :) It's very nice. There are a lot of different styles, from the kinds of stuff I like to very trendy clothes to tradional business suits. My boss actually dresses in a very similiar fashion. :)

It makes it a very fun place to work. You can tell everyone is comfortable and for the most part, every one gets along really well and feels safe being themself. I know a lot of companies aren't like that.

The first one is my favorite too. I *may* treat myself to it as an end of summer gift, as I have not bought anything new in quite a while, but I'll have to see. ;)

Say what you want about medieval folks, they certainly had good taste in clothing. :) The women's clothes of that time are gorgeous, esp. the nobles but even the peasant type clothing was very cool :) We have a big faire coming up here soon, out annual one, King Richards Faire. The jousting tournaments are amazing. :)

Linda's rule #1...Never pay retail...

The most I would pay for a pair of jeans is $25.00. I wear Student size Levi's, so I can save a couple of bucks buying the same size in student rather than men's. One of the benefits of being short. I like the way the men's fit better than women's. I won't pay more that $10 for a top, but I do shop clearance and sales, so I can get good items for cheap. Part of the thrill of clothes shopping is a bargain for me. Luckily (?) I don't have to dress up very often being a SAHM saves money on wardrobe.

I dress my boys the same way...I shop for Polo and Tommy on sale for 75% off. I can get some great deals, and they look cute.:)

Well considering I buy 99% of my outfits in garage sales - and my DH refers to me as "The $1.98 Beauty Show" - I would have to say anything over $2 is waaaaaaaaaaaaaay too much! :teeth:
