We were there over the 4th of July last year and will be there the same time again this year. I remember there being a surcharge for most of the character meals. I believe it was $4 for adults and $2 for children. Is this correct?

Also.. I can't remember if tax was included in the price. For ex. CP is $28.99/per adult. Is tax additional?

Hi,

This is from allears:

The holiday surcharge for buffet and character meals around the World is returning, as previously announced. Prices for meals during these dates will be several dollars more per person than at other times of the year. The dates affected are April 5 - April 18, 2009, and May 24 - July 11, 2009. For example, at the Magic Kingdom's Crystal Palace, prices will be as follows:

Breakfast: $22.99/Guest (10 and older)--$12.99/Guest (3-9) (regularly $18.99/$10.99)
Lunch: $24.99/Guest (10 and older)--$13.99/Guest (3-9) (regularly $20.99/$11.99)
Dinner: $34.99/Guest (10 and older)--$16.99 Guest (3-9) (regularly $28.99/$13.99)

Holy moly is $6 per person for adults and $3 for kids. For my family that's an additional $24 just in surcharges! :scared1:

I think the DDP is going to be the way to go for us!

The "holiday" surcharge is the main reason we decided to go with the DDP for our trip in May-June. My DS7 really wants to have dinner at Chef Mickey's and my DS15 loves buffets. He's a bottomless pit. My DD11 will be charged the adult price even though she eats like a bird. It was hard to justify paying $35 OOP for her to eat at Chef Mickey's, so we did the math and realized it made more economic sense to get the DDP.
