Just wondering how much the AP discount is for a cruise? I'm thinking ahead since we're not planning on cruising until 2007. My current AP just expired (today, I think :( ) and I'm trying to justify another one in 2 or so years.

I'm assuming that it's like the WDW room discounts and the pass isn't needed when making the ressie, just when arriving?

Thanks, T&B

I never heard of an AP discount for a cruise before! I hope someone can shed some more light on this.

The only special offerings for AP holders are:

1) there is usually a special AP cruise once a year - might have some cheaper rates on that one only.

2) if you are part of a land/sea package they will give you a credit equal to what your park tickets on the land portion would cost (since you won't need them).

I guess I assumed there was a discount because several months ago I got a cruise quote from DU and there was a place to check off if I had a WDW AP, which I did at the time. Therefor, I thought there was a discount, but maybe that was only for the land/sea, which wasn't the quote I was getting.

I'll need to figure out another way to justify it... ;)

Where in MD do you live? We're in Montgomery County.

That's just like them asking of you are a Castaway Club member. You don't get any discount if you are...unless you booked onboard your last cruise.

Dreams is really good at keeping an eye out for any price changes or discounts. They ask that so they have it on file and if for some reason a discount would come out (unlikely) they would have it.

I do know that back a number of years ago when we had booked a Wonder cruise through Dreams and discounts came out (not AP) that they had adjusted our price before I even read about the discount here on the board.

Now that is service!

That makes sense--thanks for the info!

Way up in Cecil county! How's your weather today? They say rain here but the sun is fighting to come out!
