The question part of this thread is mostly for the people that enjoy, start and reply to these Groups and Games Threads but anyone is welcome to register a yes to any or all of the following questions by checking the questions they would answer yes to in the poll above.

I've been a participant on several PTs. They've never held any particular interest to me beyond utilizing them for some mindless escape during a stressful time. Any continued participation on my part is likely due more to habit than anything else.

The DIS can do whatever the DIS wishes to do regarding PTs, political threads or any other kinds of threads. Honestly, if any changes are made or if no changes are made, I really couldn't care less.

Wow. I've never felt so apathetic about anything in my life.

Truth is no authority but it would seem that until
a thread had two or three hundred replies it could hardly qualify as perpetual.

Will add why I didn't choose any of those options:

1--own separate board?--putting them on their own board would discourage new posters from finding them, and all of these thread are welcome to all comers!

2--stick all at top of CB?--they shouldn't be stuck at the top since they're not "important" threads. If they're not being posted on, they should slip to the bottom just as every other thread does. They're no more or no less important than any other thread.

3--separate link at the top of CB?--no, for same reason as #1

4, 5, and 6--limits?--No. Who would choose which get to stay and which have to go? Why is any one thread better than another? They're not. These threads are simply smaller communites within the DIS where folks have found online friends they enjoy chatting with....and invite new posters all the time! And, the posts continue to be about DIS and Disney. I know on the Tagliarchy thread we're planning a big meet in October and discuss our plans frequently....wanna come?

5--limit PT in return for axing Political and Debate threads?--again, why are PT considered better than Political and Debate threads (I assume they are being seen that way since they'd be able to stay and Debate ones wouldn't)?? The CB is for all types of posts! If you're not interested in one, skip over it. I think we've all learned that skill

7--none of the above but do something different?--nope. I like it the way it is.

8--While I liked the political and debate threads having their own board, since they don't, I would not advocate banning them. They're part of our great big community, too! Noone says you have to read their posts! And, I must say, I really like that many are putting "Possible Debate" in their title....so you go in with the right frame of mind

Hmmm...I don't like any of the answers so can't vote. I always thought DBers should have a separate area at the top of the CB, but that would just be the same as having a separate DB area like before.

No, those you mention should not be restricted to an area, a certain number of them, etc. Just ignore them like I do debate threads!!

Posting your picture is an "important" thread? ("Show Your Face" thread.) Not in my book. LOL! Actually, I miss anything new that might be important and posted up there because I just skip over the top without reading or looking at it.

I don't mind the game threads. I like the music and movie games. I like the "free association" type word games. Where you see a word and say the first word that comes into your head.

Truth, did you ever answer your own question about becomming an automaton, as opposed to a conventional death? I liked that one.

I like it the way it is too.
I participate in games, groups and exchanges and add my two cents in many other areas as well.

It is a Community Board and so should contain any and all threads.
It isn't a problem at all to skip by the threads that are of no interest.

I cast no vote.

Umm, chatrooms are meant for people ONLINE at the SAME TIME, imo. Most of those 'chatters' you may mean, are NOT on line at the same time. It keeps people 'attached' tho, to keep in touch with DISers, regardless of the time. From your reply, I would gather that I should never reply, since I'm normally a late night DISer. Sad.
