I will need to take a cab into Kissimmee to get supplies. How much will it cost to go from the Boardwalk to Old Town?

Thanks!

We Amtrak to WDW and detrain at Kissimmee, our cab fare from there to and from to either the Poly or WL has been anywhere from 38.00-43.00, depending on the route the driver takes. A bit pricey for a jaunt but its our only way to get to the world.

Old Town is not actually in Kissimmee, it's in the Maingate area which is closer to WDW than Kissimmee, and WAY closer than the Amtrack station. Cab fare each way should run less than $15 from Boardwalk.

However, if you want supplies, Old Town is not the place to go - there are no grocers or drug stores there, it's all tourist souveniers and a few fast food eateries.

For supplies such as snacks and drinks, try WalMart or Walgreens. You can get milk, soda, chips, pretzels, Pop-Tarts, donuts, and other snacks at either. For variety, go to WalMart, for speed (because the store is smaller) go to Walgreens. There is a Walgreens on SR 535 one intersection north of the Crossroads shopping center, and a WalMart on SR 535 about 2 miles south of the Crossroads.

Many people will tell you to go to the Goodings supermarket at the Crossroads. Gooodings is a nice store and has everything you need, but the prices are outrageous. If you don't mind paying twice as much for the convenience, Goodings is a good choice.

There is a Super Wal Mart on 535 and down about a mile on 192 is a Super Target. There is also a Publix before you get to the Super Target.

Thanks for the reply, but there is a CVS drug store right near the Old Town (and next door to Krispy Kreme!). that CVS drugstore honors the same member discounts as we have at home. so prices at that CVS are the same as home.

I need to go to the Old Town area to buy souvenirs for a cheap price. tshirts for $5 at the stores around there as opposed to $25-30 in the World.

Also, Orange World (Worlds Biggest Orange) is a must visit every trip for me!
