How much ham for 12 people?

How much ham should I purchase to feed 12 adults? I want to have enough but not eat leftover ham for weeks afterwards.

Last night, we had nine adults and five children over for dinner. (Let the madness begin!!) I had a 9.5 lb spiral ham. There is enough left over for dinner tonight (4 adults, 2 kids) and maybe a couple of sandwiches. Hope this helps.

Hmmm. ..I guess I could pack some on ice and ship it to you. . .or you could just drive down and join us. . .if you can tolerate 12 disfunctional adults, 2 adorable but hyper-excited kids, 1 adorable but hyper-excited dachshund, and 3 adorable but skittish cats.

I bought a 16 lb spiral-sliced ham for 23 people. We should have PLENTY left over! The "rule-of-thumb" is 1/2 lb per person, with bone-in.
