Just getting some ideas on how much "extra fun money" to budget out for our trip in Dec. We have the dining plan, and our tickets and all are already paid for. The only things extra I can think of needing are maybe more food, and souvineers. Any ideas, or advice would be appreciated!
Thank you!

We did the inclusive package this time too. Since we're driving, we've allotted $200 for gas, another $200 for food on the road (it's a two day drive for us), and 2 nights at the Fairfield in Tallahassee (half way point, plus DS loves the indoor pool and hot tub); spending money for DS5 $50 plus $25 in Disney Dollars; for our DNiece12, she's bringing her own spending money, plus $25 in Disney Dollars from us. We then have $1000 discretionary spending fund for Mom and Dad's souvenirs, extra food, snacks, anything unexpected that comes up, etc.

Well, we usually budget quite a bit of "extra" spending money, around $100 a day for the two of us. This is beyond meals, tickets, etc. Now, we like to do lots of extra stuff like play mini golf, rent water mice, and things like that and we like to shop (not suvenir type stuff - things from Epcot World Showcase, the shops at the Animal Kingdom, etc.). If you aren't into that kind of thing, I don't think you would really need much.

You know all that change that gets put on the counter out of everyones' pockets? (at least it does at my house!) One year I started collecting it on the sly, before anyone realized it was gone, and put it in a jar. A couple of days before we left, I turned it in for cash. I was SHOCKED at how much there was. There was a large portion of our spending money!

What a wonderful idea...!!! one step further..my FIL would always pay for everything with one dollor more than it cost, and ask for the change back. Then took it all at the end of a few months cashed it in..and had enough for plane tickets to FLorida. :cool1:
Thanks for reminding me of such a great trick!
