We'll be two adults and one child who eats pretty lightly.

We have DDP booked, but now that we're both on Weight Watchers and eating less (certainly no appetizers or desserts!), I'm wondering if it would be more cost effective for us to pay OOP.

It will cost us about $90 to get DDP - do you think we can eat for less by paying out of pocket? I'm assuming that we'll bring our own breakfast, have CS meals for lunch and share a TS entree.

My typical recomendation is to head over to www.allearsnet.com and check out the menus. Figure out what you're likely to order and let the adding machine start doing it's thing. Don't forget to add tax and gratuity!

I have no trouble eating for an average of $25/day. It is easy to save money on dining as long as you can be content with counter service meals.
$25 buys me two counter service (one salad, one other meal) and one snack per day (no drinks).

My husband and I often share one counter service meal. Sharing allows us to try a greater variety of items throughout the day (we may share three meals a day instead of two, or share one counter service meal for lunch when we are planning to eat at Boma at night).

If you would like to enjoy the sit down restaurants, budget more like $30 per adult after tax and tip for a single meal. If a leisurely sit down meal is important to you, then $90 for three people would be a bargain for a higher quality dining experience. For me, it would be a great to try restaurants I haven't tried before, but I know it would way too much food.

Also, if you are planning to go when it is hot, it is easier to eat very light meals since the hear really kills the appetite.

but is that tag from the tag fairy? Or is it your own? I just about fell off of my chair laughing when I saw the 'I don't think I've had enough therapy to discuss the toughskins jeans'. OMG! The memories that brought back... :rotfl2: :rotfl: :lmao:
