Does anyone have an approximate cost OR does anyone have any prior experience with the cost of a Limo ride with a grocery stop from MCO to Beach Club or any other resort ?
Thanks. We would only want a One-way. Airport to BC with a grocery stop. Appears it would be cheaper to use DME and then just get a cab to take us to WinnDixie to get food and booze for the room.
Don't know how many there are of you but the cheapest option we found was to rent from Alamo for 1 day and return to the Dolphin across the street from Beach Club and pay for the one way Limo ride back to the Airport for $100. We rented the car for $60 and $100 for the Limo.
A cab will be about $50-60 from MCO to BC. As will a car service. You could use DME and then have groceries delivered by a service. I have used both gardengrocer.com and wegoshop.com in the past with good results. I believe both will buy alcohol as well.
Or, you can walk over, through BW, to the Hess Station. They have some decent stuff there..not sure about alcoholic stuff though.
I would just take DME and then walk over to the Dolphin and rent a compact for a day. It would be $45 with taxes, for a compact for the day, using a code. Then you can take your time and make as many stops as you want.
We already have National booked to pick up from MCO and drop off at Dolphin for $44. Which we are probably going to do.
BUT, If we get DME to the BC, check in ..then get a cab to get us to the grocery store for about $20 then tip for about $5 or so...hey $20 saved is $20 bucks saved. Thats a case of beer of a few bottles of wine.

$20 for a round trip cab ride, plus have him wait while you're in the store, sounds very inexpensive to me. I would think it would be more than that, but then I've never done it.

On garden grocer..you have to spend (I think) at least $40 or $50. All we are looking for is the important stuff for the room....Beer, wine. hazelnut coffeemate and a couple bags of chips. (We got our priorities straight.)
Seems you're going through a lot of trouble to save the few extra dollars you would pay if you just get what you want (which doesn't seem like alot) at the Marketplace. Or you could walk to the Hess station via BWV and save the couple of dollars.

2. Now that you gave the grocery list, I definitely would trek over to the Hess. DH just walked in the door and said they had a pretty decent selection of beer and wine for a gas station--I never went in, had DD in the car.
It's also a little more but the little grocer at the boardwalk has the stuff you're talking about too. (don't know if BC has a store or not). And while we feel vindicated by not shopping at those hotel convenient stores because of the inflated prices, it sounds like you'd still come out ahead of renting a car or taking a taxi.
