How much does your troop charge for a box of GS cookies?

Our council used Little Brownie Bakers and we had to sell each box for $ 3.50.

A neighboring council used ABC Bakers and was able to sell their cookies for $ 3.00 a box.

Felt bad explaining this again and again at the cookie booths. But still our troop did just fine. My theory is that you have to look beyond the box of cookies and see it as a donation to GS.
Matter of fact many people just offered a donation to us. Next year we will have a little jar marked for donations.

Good luck to everyone that is just starting their sales!

Pam

We use ABC and it used to be 3.00 but last year they raised it to 3.50.

Our local Troops sell the cookies for $4 a box.

The Boston Globe recently ran an article about the decline in cookie sales locally this year. Some booths at markets and such are just being ignored by customers. A few people have even been rude to the girls. The article seemed to blame a combination of the economy and new diet (Atkins) trends for much of the decline.

Our cookies were $3.50 a box. Other coucils by us were $4.00. We just picked up the cookies last weekend. The economy didn't seem to hurt our troop - we sold 120 more boxes then last year. We averaged selling 95 boxes a girl :)

$3 here. We don't pick up the cookies until next week.

$3 here, but the boxes are small...many with just 14 cookies. I was thrilled that the thin mint box was not smaller...then noticed that 1/3 of the cookie sleeve was filled with air, so about 8 fewer cookies per box.

Ours are $3 per box, also little brownie bakers. My DD has sold about 260 boxes, and we don't start booth sales until this weekend. There's no change in the size of box or number of cookies here that I can tell. We have been told that next year, it's going up to $3.50 a box.

if there are kids outside of the donut stores or other stores.....and they have a bucket to get donations for their cause...like hockey and cheering and other things....I always put in fifty or what ever change I have.....I also know that I have nothing to show for this donation but feeling good.....the same with the Girl Scout Cookies....I dont' see them raising money the rest of the year and I am happy to know that alot of the cookie money goes to the council and to the troop that I buy it from......and NOW I have something to show for it.......I am not a big cookie eater but I have kids taht come here after school and they can eat them for me ....

Just a reminder - the baker doesn't set the amount on how much cookies sell. It's set by each council and their board of directors based on each council's budget.

sncbird - I think you are in my council - we got ours this past weekend too. Given where you are from I'm guessing you are in Sybaquay.

The girls around here are selling them for $4 a box. And we're waiting very patiently for them to come in! We ordered about 14. Once that first box comes in, it'll be gone in about 10 minutes!

Hi Cruise04,

We are in Sybaquay Council - Bartlett :)

$2.50 here for a box.
Kim

$4.00, to much if you ask me, for the amount of cookies you receive! I didn't buy any!

Last year we were $3.50 a box. This year we moved 20 minutes west into a different council and they are $3 per box. We are not in a council selling the new Pinatas but bought some from others at work selling them and they are great. Our new Double Dutch need to be rethought. We've done very well so far this year. My daughters troop did 5 booths this past weekend and sold over 450 boxes.

$3 -- our sale is over, I just have to deposit the money. It is due Thursday and the cookie coordinator keeps emailing me:eek: . I feel like telling her I've decided to go to Disney World - lol.
