How much money do you think 2 adults will spend for 1 week for food. We will eat breakfast in room, maybe share a lunch and have a sit down dinner every evening with 2 or 3 glasses of wine and 5/6 beers.

We do not have any signature restaurants booked. I have raglan rd, san angel, chefs de france, the wave, house of blues, nine dragons and via napoli.

Also if we didnt want to have a full meal some evening, Van we still go to the restaurant we have booked and order maybe some appetizers and /or dessert. We like to sit down and relax in the evening over some drinks, but if we eat some of the food at food and wine festival we might not be hungry for a full meal.

Thanks

Go to allears.net. They have menus with prices for all of the WDW restaurants. You should be able to get an idea of how much money you'll need by looking at the menus.

I usually budget $100 a day for me and DW, who eat 1 sit down meal a day, but we don't drink. We don't spend that much everyday, but some days we spend more than $100, so it works out for us.

We often make reservations for a restaurant just to try appetizers or dessert; that is not a problem.

If you do the DDP it will cost you less then $50 per person per night, and those table serves are all covered.

And no need to worry 'bout how much it will cost. ;)

This is a popular question that is asked by all of our friends, including "how much do I need to take with me?" that always comes along with it. We charge every single item to our KTTW card. When I get the bill, I always break it down and I get an idea of what each trip costs me in terms of food, souvenirs and miscellaneous expenses. We eat at all of the popular restaurants (Le Cellier, Mama Melrose, Chef Mickeys, Nine Dragons, San Angel, Liberty Tree Tavern, Tusker House, etc) and our food bill has never exceeded $500.00. This is for a period of 6 to 8 days which is our usual amount of time that we stay during our vacation. Please note that DW and I usually split plates at most signature restaurants and we do not consume alcohol. DD does get her own plate though.

We usually eat breakfast at the resort or pick up something at the MCD's by the All-Stars (as we usually stay at AKL) while we go to the parks. Our meals are usually lunch and/or dinner at each of the parks with an occasional off-park dinner at DTD or surrounding area.

I read somewhere that Disney dining venues have a limit of two alcoholic drinks per person. I have no idea if that is true but I remember reading that a while back. :confused3

I budget $40 per person per day, and it works out over the long run for us. At that rate, 2 adults times $40 ($80 per day) times 7 days ($560).

But that's with only one or two drinks per day -- WDW alcohol prices are HIGH, so expect another 20 per person per day with the drink schedule you quoted.

budget $7-10 per drink and hope that the beers cost less than that. drinking at disney is almost as expensive as drinking at a professional sports stadium. on the plus side, we find ourselves so tired at the end of the day that we drink less than we would on a regular night out at home.

as for food, the suggestion of allears.net and menu prices is a good one. i used it last year when we had one more meal scheduled than our dining plan covered and we chose the least expensive table service we had reserved to pay out of pocket for.

another way to gauge the alcohol budget...ever been on a cruise? think about what you spent on drinks then, and plan about the same for disney.

TS dinners usually run us about $75-90 per night which would typically include a salad, 2 entrees, sometimes a dessert, a soda and 2-3 beers/drinks and the tip. I would add $7-12 for each beer/wine to get a ball park.

QS lunches usually run us $18-22 for 2 meals with drinks and maybe a side.

The DP may not necessarily be a money saver since the bulk of the dinner bill is going to be alcohol which isn't included in the plan.

That's only if you are buying it to go at the pool bar, at a counter service place or someplace like that. If you are sitting at the bar or table, you can order more then 2 drinks.

My husband and I are going to do our first Disney trip together in October. (The last time I went to Disney was Christmas/NewYears 10 years ago when I was a teenager. This will be my husband's first time.)

We're budgeting $75 for each day for food.

Since we are staying offsite and renting a car, I figure we will mostly eat fast food breakfast/dinner offsite during the trip. I've checked out prices on allears.net and we're planning on sticking to counter service food b/c its cheaper and we'll have more time to go through the parks.

Honestly, I don't even know if $75/day will be needed.:confused3
We planned a Las Vegas trip last year with $100/day budget and ate once a day. All we ate was a big lunch and we were stuffed for the rest of the day.
