How many rolls of film do you take on the 7night cruise? And that takes into account buying how many pictures at Shutter's?
DS has an underwater camera to take along too. DH & DS are planning on snorkeling at Castaway Cay. (thank you Michelle)

Edited cos yes I do mean snorkel not scuba dive - thank you

I'm bringing at least 8 rolls, plus a wide angle disposable and a underwater sports camera.

We were on the 8/3 Magic cruise and we brought along two underwater cameras that we bought at Walmart (Fuji) about $7.00 each. And 13 rolls of film. I never in a million years thought I would take so many pictures (and this is our 6th DCL cruise!), but I did.

I dropped off 13 rolls of film and the two underwater cameras at Costco and the cost was $87.61.

I also took 200 digital photos.

I was taking pictures of everything in sight, I would say the average amount people take is 7-10 rolls. All the pics came out really nice too!!! The underwater camera photos are great. Fuji makes a very nice disposable underwater camera.

I was on the 7/20 Magic and took 10 rolls of film, 3 underwater cameras and bought 10 of the smaller size pictures at Shutters and 3 8X10's. I brought along 18 rolls of film but apparently I was too busy to take all the pictures that I really wanted....

I try to take two rolls per day when I am on a trip. what i don't use then, i use for some other occassion. I also plan on taking two disposable water cameras for each day i plan on snorkeling...

On my 8/3 cruise, we went through 4 1/2 rolls, plus an underwater camera. Already got all of them developed too! :D

I usually take about 15 rolls and 2 underwater cameras. I think on the last 2 cruises I took 12 actual rolls and one underwater. The underwater really depends on what excursions we are going on. I always seem to be able to find things to take pictures of!

on my last 7 day cruise 8/3 i took 7 rolls of film and my mom took 13 rolls of film. bring more film then you think you are going to use i had to buy more film cause i was running low and i have the advantix film for the camera and for 4 rolls it coust 18.99 so if you can get film on sale go for it.

DH is reading the boards with me tonight and started to chuckle at this one.

Definitely take along several of those underwater disposables. Pick them up on sale and if the time until your cruise is long - put them in a ziploc in the freezer. You can do this with film to.

As for how much - our last trip I shot over 20 rolls. our first trip there were 30! I just came back from a 4 day camporee with my GS troop and there are 6 rolls plus a waterproof waiting to go in for developing.

But then again, my camera is always with me and I shoot film not digital. So it sort of depends on who you are and how you shoot. I have a tendency to take more than one pic of something I don't want to risk missing. As a friend says - film is cheap compared to missing the shot.

But that's me....
