Im a bit unsure if I done the right thing booking Caribbean beach and thinking I should try and change to Port Orleans or Coronado springs anyone had to do this and no how much some company's charge?

I believe WDW charge £50 if the value of the new holiday is the same or less.

Also be careful - if you change your hotel, some companies will remove the free dining if it is out of the offer period!

Did you book with Disney? They will transfer the special offers if you booked through them, but just make sure they do it while you have them on the phone. My gift card fell off when I made changes to dates and the CM picked it up straight away but it took a few days to get it added on. She took care of it all but it's something worth checking

Also, just make sure there is availability for the resort you want to move to for those dates. POFQ was not giving standard rooms for some dates for next year when I checked a couple of months back and in fact at one point, only had king rooms. Fine for a couple but not so fine if there are more than 2 of you or if you need separate beds

Why do you want to change from the Caribbean?

Ive never stayed at POR so cant really comment but its never real appealed to us, Coronado we've stayed at a few times and we like the resort and has a great food court (not as good as it used to be) but my choice would be the Caribbean, plenty of choice in the food court with a ton of different stations like Coronado, the beach is great too.

OP, what was it about CBR that you liked that made you want to book there?

What are your concerns making you second guess your decision? And of those concerns, which resort best 'solves' them for you?

It's looks a nice hotel and seemed right when we booked but people are saying buses can take a while and the rooms arnt that great compared to others so was thinking port Orleans maybe better

I have just been reading some not to good reviews and am a bit worried if I made the right choice, I do like the beaches swimming pools for kids looks a nice place in photos and things

I think to be fair to yourself, you really should head over to the resort sub forum and check out the CBR thread there first. Look at some pics, get some ideas of work arounds or advice on what to request if being far from the main building is a concern and take it from there.

I booked it for 2010 and then changed, in part because I knew DD wanted POFQ and in part because I had second thoughts about all the bus stops. It bothers some, it does not bother others. In fact if it weren't for the bus stops or if I had my own car there I would probably not have given it a second thought to book there. What is a huge issue to one family is just not even remotely important to the next.

I have stayed there and yes it is a huge resort but also lovely to have the beaches in a moderate resort. The rooms are really nice and tbh some people go in looking for a mark on a shower curtain or a speck of dust on the wardrobe. I dont think any of the resorts are bad and I have stayed at value to deluxe. Just have a look at the layout and ask for a location that suits ur needs. We stayed in aruba and it was a 5 min walk over a bridge to the main area. I changed from CS this time to POFQ but that was because We wanted to be near dtd and when initially looking POFQ was not showing availability. Our second half is at WLV and hopefully a couple of nights at GFV.
