How much does a can of soda cost

I am hearing conflicting stories on how much just one can of soda cost. Somebody, not here on the boards said it was $8 a can, ouch, thats alot! Please clarify this for me. I am buying the soda stickers for the kids, but I don't plan on getting it for me. I am not really a big soda drinker, but I may want one now and then.

I believe that a can of soda was 1.50 plus 15% gratuity added--but I am not positive. We brought diet pepsi on the last 2 trips, and only bought one mug.

I'll bite...since no one else is taking this one...

I'm not sure of the exact amount because I get a soda mug, but I think it's $1.75 plus the automatic 15% gratuity. Soda is included with meals, and iced tea and lemonade are free on the deck 9 coffee kiosk.

If I didn't get the soda mug, I'd drink iced tea and just have coke with meals. I think the 8.00 figure was a bit of and overstatement

I am so glad I found these boards. I can't imagine what I would do without all the great info I find out here. I didn't think a can of soda would be $8, that would be highway robber. Thanx again

On the 2/22/03 Magic cruise, I bought a can of Diet Coke in Offbeat for $1.50 plus 15% auto-gratuity.

We thought about bringing soda onboard, especially because I prefer Diet Pepsi to Coke, but when we couldn't find a six-pack at Publix on the way to the port, we decided not to. And just as well, because I think I only had two sodas the entire week, the one in Offbeat and one at dinner. Otherwise I was perfectly satisfied with the free water and lemonade at the Deck 9 drink stand - and the occasional fruity cocktail at Rockin' Bar D, of course.

So have no fear, the $8 was just a joke at Disney's expense - but $1.50 ain't exactly cheap.
