How much do you tip the Pizza person

I never know what is the "right" amount. I just got a pizza and tipped a little over $2 and the guy said thanks (for the tip) 5 times. Am I a big tipper and I just did not know it, or was he just really nice??

In case it matters, I got 2 pizzas and the weather is beautiful.

I usually give 2 or 3. I know we also pay extra for delivery which goes to the delivery person.

That's about what I give too for tip. If there are a ton of pizzas I'll tip more, but never have tipped less than $2 even in college

I usually round up to the next 5. increment. This might be bit more or less then 2.
But lately I've been having a major pet peeve with delivery people. They bring the delivery, look at the bill, figure what they think the tip should be and say, so would you like such and such change. For example bill is 6.75, I give them a 20. delivery person says, so would you like 10. in change. Bugs me so bad. I will say to them no, I'll take my change, and then give them nothing. This happened several times this summer. Rude and presumptious, and I'm usually a pretty decent tipper.

We usually get a large pizza deliverd a couple of times a month. I tip $5 each visit. They like coming to our house!
Gas is expensive around here over $2 a gallon, but even if it wasn't that's just what I tip....sometimes more if they catch me on a good day.

Same as most of you, $2-$3...if they get it here extra quick then I might throw in an extra $. Of course I haven't had any pizza in a while since I have been dieting. I actually got an e-mail tonight from Pizza Hut titled "We miss you", saying they noticed I hadn't ordered online in awhile

$1.50 to $2.25 ~ depending on the order. No matter who has delivered pizza or chicken to our doorstep, they've been so polite. Sorry you've had rude delivery people Tiggeroo.

I tip about $4 if we order one pizza. I always think to myself, would I drive a pizza to someone's house for $4? The answer is "no" but I'm not tipping more than $4 for one pizza.

if they offer free delivery, why factor gas prices in to your tip, they've already figured it in to their pizza prices/expenses..the delivery guy actually makes more money just for driving to your house, than the people working in the hot kitchen to make the pizza....
