How much do you tip room service?

We tipped $5 everytime they delivered us food. That was only twice though, and both times it was breakfast.

It depends on the quantity of food we are ordering. Usually $3, but more if there is a lot of food.

We learned something about room service tips on our last trip. Whatever cash you give to the server is theirs to keep. However, if you order beverages like soda or beer/wine, there is a tip line on the receipt that you sign. All tips "charged" in this fashion are put into a group pool and divided among the servers. So, if you want to make sure that your server gets the tip, give cash. Ours was very thankful when we did. It makes a BIG difference to them.

We take full advantage of the room service :cool1: and usually order alot of food. We tip $2.00 per item.

We tipped anywhere from $3 to $10. It depended upon the order.

We brought many $1 bills and placed them in a drawer. This way they were always available to give as a tip. No fumbling around looking for the wallet.

Take adavantage of room service. It's a great perk on Dinsney!

I had a hamburger one night and I only tipped $2. Was that a lousy tip for one meal? I feel so guilty! :guilty:

We got the cheese platter every night and/or cookies, and we usually gave the waiter $2.00. I thought that was plenty at the time...

I tipped $2 each morning for coffee and muffins for 2 people ....and gave a $10 phone card in addition to the $2 the last day.
According to the DCL :boat: documents, the recommended amount for my dinning room server is $52 for the week. This is for someone who spends an hour and a half actively serving you. You don't tip additionally for breakfast and lunch in the dinning rooms or Pluto's - so I think a total tip of $12 cash and a $10 phone card is appropriate for the level of service (a delivery, really) I actually tipped more then recommended to our serving team as I felt they were 'excellent' - and we gave cash :cool1:

That's what we did as well and it was also breakfast.

There's always just two of us and we don't order a lot of food. So we usually give $2 or $3.

I usually tip $2 - $3 per meal. We didn't order that much food so I thought that was reasonable.

$2.00 seems reasonable to me too! i wonder how many people dont tip :(
