How much do YOU spend?

We did free dining last time. I'm sure its about $1000 for our family of four for a week.

We are going in May, and are doing the deluxe dining plan. It will be 4 adults and one child...for a total of about $2200, plus $500 for alcoholic beverages, (plus the extra $700-$800 we will need to budget for tipping!)...our grand total dining budget is about $3500 for the week.

We are a family of 5 and we usually budget around $200 per day. We tend to do TS for lunch to get out of the sun and the prices are a little lower and then we snack at night, usually at the parks. Next trip, I have a signatures planned, Jiko, plus Il Mulino and Bluezoo, so I am expecting to spend a bit more.

It's just DH and I and typically we budget $100 a day however given the price increases and what's on our list to eat this year I'm thinking we'll up it to $125.

DH and I did the QSDP last June, plus OOP at Cinderella's Royal Table, and The Rose and Crown, AND we snacked heavily (and heavenly!) for 7 days. Grand total was around $650.00.

The last three trips we have gone with free dining. Last trip we stayed at POP, and had to pay $32 per day for our family of 4 (3 A, 1 C) to upgrade to the standard dining plan. So that's about $260, plus we spent another $188 on food and tips over the course of the trip. We got about $1357 worth of "free food" though.

The previous two trips were 3 people (2 A, 1 C), and we had full-on free dining. Including tips, we spent $128 over 10 days, but also got $877 of "free food". The year before we didn't keep close track, but it would probably be similar.

(Yes, I realize the food is not truly free, as this discount is in lieu of a room discount in all cases, but that is how I calculate.)

In 6 weeks we are going back without the DDP. We are not eating TS, except to eat at SFDI and Rainforest Cafe. I am budgeting $75 per day for the non-TS days, plus $60 for each of the TS meals.(CS estimate $14 per meal per adult, $7 per child.) If we were doing a TS and a CS a day, I would probably budget about $120 a day. ($50 per adult, and $20 per child)

We typically don't do the 2TS restaurants, though typically splurge on 1 per trip. For most of those, I would budget about $60 per adult, and $25 per child.

DH and I (42), DD 15 and DD 8 (pastadairy-an ;) ) and put every single item we purchased on room charge. (So I can go home and analyze it to death lol...) Sat. p.m. arrival (Easter Eve) and cancelled Kona ADR to go right to MK. We spent a hair under $800 for every single consumable item (plus 2 refillable mugs) we bought at WDW including one trip to the sushi bar beside Kona, and DH and I ate at Kona alone one night. Last items from Capt. Cooks the following Sat. a.m. for total of 5 full days and 2 other meal times. I really debated the QS plan for us, since we just aren't big enough eaters most days to justify taking the time for a sit-down meal. (Love to relax over a meal, just not when we want to be doing something else :) ) In the end however, I considered how many times I am watching the people in front of me in utter confusion over exactly what counts... I think I decided it was something like $20 or 30 difference one way or the other when all was said and done. As it seems the prices just keep going up, I may consider the QS plan for our next trip. Just cuz I like to do the pre-trip math ;) :teacher:

We just got back and spent about $650 for 4 days. That was on the reg dining plan. It was me, DH, DD, and DS who is 9. We did the character meals and a few not. I enjoyed knowing that the food was paid for before we even went. To me it was one less stress. I just planned what park we'd be in or resort we'd be closer to and make my 1 TS ADR a day. That way we could do CS anywhere. We went back in October for 5 days and spent about $600 on food and didn't eat nearly as much!

My BF and I were there for 9 nights in October. We arrived on Friday and ate dinner that night at Planet Hollywood so that is when the official WDW eating began! Over the next 8 days, we spent about $1100 on edibles (so that includes actual meals as well as snacks, water, and adult beverages).

Going during the F & W festival was KILLER! :lmao: We ate so much food during our days at Epcot I can't believe we didn't burst. The Dragonberry Colada's in the Puerto Rico booth were absolutely amazing!

We're going back this year, again in October during the F & W Festival AND we will have a 3rd person with us so I can only imagine the damage. Although I started Weight Watcher's recently so hopefully I will have learned to control myself a little better by then! I swear, I probably spent $100 on ice cream products alone!

There were a few times that we did a TS breakfast and then another TS dinner so that adds up quickly, but breakfast is my favorite meal so I make the exception - and it's just NICE to sit down and eat a good meal at the end of a long day!

on Free Reg Dining Plan. We split CS breakfast & lunch so as not to be stuffed and get the apple slices to go for our CS dessert most times for an extra snack, then a TS each for dinner (no 2 TS meals).

We average $25 per TS for tip/drinks/occassional appy and maybe $15-20 per day for Grey Goose Slushies/funnel cakes/etc. So, for a 7 day trip we probably spend around $300 in OOP costs total, rarely more, often less.

We are two adults using the TIW card. The only real time I ever drink is at Disney. We eat at least one TS a day. Over a week trip last year we spent around $800 including alcohol and tips. We also ate at California Grill and Jiko.

Me Dh and three kids we get the dinning plan and spend $1,000 on everything else. (that is for one week)
