and how big is your family? Just curious...seems like we spend a fortune.

But,
We are a family of 4 and spend approx $2000 per month.

I have 2 teenage daughters that are always dieting too...somebody's eating a lot!:D

It is just DH and I, but it seems we spend a small fortune for just a week.

Because DH travels, he buys alot of food while he is gone, which adds up. I usually spend between $40-$60 on myself for the week. I think it would be alot less if fruits and vegetables weren't so expensive!!

I'm curious to know as well. I think I spend a ton but I LOVE to cook. I rarely buy fast food type things and I buy tons of fresh fruit & veggies which add up.

I average about $150 a week for a family of four. However, during the holidays (November & December) its WAY over that! Tons of holiday baking to be done;)

We are a family of 5, and I spend about $500-600 a month.

minnie56--$2000 a month!!!:earseek: do you eat steak and lobster at every meal? ;)

We are a family of five, also. We usually spend around $500 a month for food.

Sometimes more if we are in WDW!!! J/K!

2K per month!!!!!!!!! Holy Crap Batman!!!

We spend around $500.00-650.00 per month. We are a family of 4/5 with 4 cats and two terripins who only get bottled water in their tanks. There are 4 of us living in the house including myself, DH, DS 23yo and DS 13 yo. My 24 yo DS does not live there, however he works nearby and eats lunch there 6 days a week, usually our leftover dinner.

There are four of us-- (two kids 8 mo. and almost 3) We spend about $450 grocery store and $150 (try to keep that down) in restaurants... this is strictly food at grocery (no beauty, baby or health products)

I wish it were less! I would spend more if I could.....

We are a family of 6 (though new baby doesn't really factor into the grocery list yet) and I spend about $400-$500 a month.

Now that my son is away at school, it's DW, twin DD's (14) and yours truly. We spend about $250.00 a week at the grocery store.

We spend about $80 a week plus about $80 a month on Market Day for a family of 3.

I know this is going to go up because my 6 year old DS is already eating like a horse! I don't know where he puts all the food because he only weighs 40 pounds. He can eat 2 pbj's and a bag of chips plus 2 glasses of milk just for lunch.::yes::

For me, DH and DS (17) I spend about 800/month. That's at the grocery store not eating out. I'm curious how much that will drop when DS goes away to school next year.

We spend $800 a month for DH, myself and DS(17)

We spend $800 too a month for a family of 6.

I try to buy all my non food items at Target or Walmart.

I have to start using coupons again, just to busy to cut them every Sunday.

How about a vote for who hates grocery shopping.

We are a family of 3...DS is 3 years old. We spend about $500.00 per month, but that includes toilet paper, many veggies, any beer or wine we'd like (we entertain alot) diapers and cleaning products/laundry detergent. Is that bad??? I'm not sure. I like to buy what's on sale and use coupons, and I'm always trying to get the bill down, which I actually have a little, but I'd like to get it down even more.

Summers are busy w/ entertaining, so we do go through beer and wine, and grilling foods, and my son just won't get out of diapers. If I could eliminate those things, I'm sure my bill would go down, but we love to entertain, and DS is just hardly working on the potty training. Oh well, I guess it could be worse.

I am trying to cook more whole foods, not use processed, and we are trying to eat healthier. Lots and lots of veggies and chicken and lean meats.

Only about $200/month for me and my 5 year old daughter (no wait, that's 6 year old! Today's her b-day). But she gets breakfast and lunch at daycare.

We spend about $150 a week for a family of 4 sometimes more, sometimes less.

Ill vote on the hate grocery shopping..I went in with a list of 4 small things, came back out with $67 dollars worth of extras....UGH!

Nope, not Lobster and Steak every night...honest!

That would be approx $1,300 US per month which is $325 per week or so? I don't shop very wisely..I stop in for one or two things and end up with a cart full and I am in the grocery store almost every day for something or another it seems. I don't know what I am doing wrong...I love fresh fruits, veggies, nice breads, great meat and on and on. I need to improve upon this me thinks!;)
